Unhandled server expectation or something

What is the deal with this? I get this everywhere. Trying to discard free agents. Just got it after an event game where the main Event page turned "locked' as if we were waiting for a new event to start. Earlier I got stuck in Topps Now moments in an endless loop of "unhandled server...."
I stopped playing in August and came back about a month ago. This stuff didn't happen in August. If I ground out to 2nd or 1st now online there is a good chance the game will freeze. This wasn't a thing in August. What happened?
Also, when I try to enter Miguel Cabrera program I get a black screen and have to cloae the app. What's the deal?

Yeah same thing happened to me halfway through show down, so it counted it as a loss and started the whole thing over.
