Grade The Show 21

Assuming content and updates are done for the year, I would be interested in hearing everyones assessment of this years game, including:
- Graphics
- Content (Including Programs, Battle Royal, Showdowns, Moments)
- Online H2H (Oh, boy)
- Pitching Difficulty
- Hitting Difficulty
- Realistic Gameplay
- Overall Positives
- Overall Negatives
Can't wait to hear your opinions!

I'll rate it a 6 out of 10. Not as terrible as previous years but many MANY areas to improve. I could write down a whole essay about why and what but nobody cares, including me. They should stop being lazy and just rebuild from the ground up.
-
8/10
Great game overall, but it just didn’t live up to the standards that 20 put forth.
I missed having TA cards being auctionable, and also missed the juicy conquest maps we had in 20. I also thinking not having an old timers program or something of the sort either in between TA2 and TA3 or TA3 and TA4 didn’t help much. Not having extreme also kinda sucked.
But yeah overall it was a great game and I can’t wait to see what 22 brings.

I would say 8/10. I have played The Show for quite a few years, but this was my first-time diving into DD. Coming from Madden and having played MUT for a few years, The Show is light years better in content. I gave up MUT with this year's release as I grew tired of their pay to play mentality. With DD you truly can have an NMS team and still have a really good team and get pretty much any card you want. The reward system is really strong. I am not a big online player, so I am not going to comment on online game play, but the games I have played were fine, no major issue to talk about. Offline gameplay was smooth and fairly consistent. Are there bugs and room for improvement, of course, that is why I gave it an 8 and not a 10. However, in today's sports game market, getting an 8 is pretty [censored] good now that everything is microtransaction based.
-
Other than the online connection issues with this game I think it’s incredible. Almost every online game I play has connection issues though. So with that being said I like this game a lot. 9/10

4/10. They lost a customer after this year. Trash game. Trash AI. Pure trash.

Go play Madden for a couple of months and you will be back in time for Sprint Training.

Just because another product is even worse , doesn't mean that everything that is better than the worse product is automatically good.

I’d go like 6 or 7. Pinpoint and outliers were nerfs this year. I think they kinda ruined ranked. Graphics were not great for next gen. Id say a ranked overhaul and better graphics for 22 would go a long way to making improvements. Outlier needs to go and what happened to “user input” for competitive mode meaning something? Way too many off pci hits and HR this year IMO.

Bro Madden is fun af in September-March when the show is dead and then the show is fun af April-August when Madden is dead.
I don’t see why Madden gets so much hate. Guess it’s just the trend to [censored] on EA.

Yeah I don’t get the Madden hate either. I wouldn’t pay full price for it anymore but it’s still a fun game and at least they got rid of contracts (unlike nba 2k).
I also like the NBA 2k games, although it’s pretty hard. But the contracts and micro transactions have to go. Still the Show is light years ahead of most games, not just sports. I don’t get the hate on this site. All games have little quirks and areas to improve. There’s nothing wrong with The Show that warrants less than a 7/10.

That is not true for me. I love EA's NHL's game, but the Madden game has gotten progressively worse over the last 5 or so years, bringing it to a point it's not even playable for me anymore. I have played Madden since the very first version, and would love to see it return to glory, I have no vendetta against EA.

This is a fair take, but I personally feel that the Show is a lot better. If I were to rate Madden 22 it would be a 2/10 and I am being generous because MUT has Marino AND JT this year.

9/10 content was fire graphics/card art was fuego gameplay was improvable if that's a word
Side note: this was the 1st baseball game I've ever played
-
I would give it a 6.5, maybe 7. Great content, I did have quite a bit of fun.
But outlier with PP, stamina glitch, non PCI home runs, and bad servers can’t be overlooked.
-
Honestly 4-5/10
I mostly play DD and it seems SDS also focused solely on this as well. They said stick skills would reign supreme early on, but when the game was released that was far from the truth. Gameplay is still a crapshoot for the most part with most good swings for outs and non pci swings going for homeruns(I mean seriously if you completely miss with your pci you should not be rewarded). Pitching is a major upgrade from last year, fielding is alright and baserunning is awful.
Content was really good which I give them kudos for.
Create a ball park was cool but quickly outgrew it’s novelty when you realize how limited it is.
Franchise didn’t get any help just the same thing the past 7 years.
I don’t do Road to the Show or March to October so no comment there. -

This is the first one I've played regularly since High Heat for the first Playstation.
I give the Show (DD specifically) an 8.5-9 on content, engagement, quality of cards, diversity of programs and how much fun I had. Again, it's my first year of DD and I didn't play too much Online so the gameplay issues missed me for the most part. I also didn’t buy the game till late May so the massive server issues didn't become problematic until the second round of issues late summer.
I spent no money and didn't learn to flip cards until late summer and I was able to obtain every card (except Alomar!!!!!!!!!!@$!%@^#*). I know that irritates some people that everything was accessible and I don't disagree, but I'm glad I got to use every card (except Alomar!!!!!!!#%@&×_÷;÷).
My favorite things about DD are:
-
Team Affinity. In total the 5 seasons of TA had 210 new cards including some of the best in the game (Degrom, Trea, Mantle, Tatis, etc.)
-
Conquests/programs in general- the grindable content on this game was through the roof.
-
Collections- I loooooove collecting baseball stuff.
-
Legends and flashbacks- I hear the amount or cards was of the hook compared to precious year.
My only wish list would be a bit more content in the last month and rights to more players which isn't a gripe, just a wish.
-
-
4/10 too much focus on one game mode is a [censored] shame

This is kind of vague. I assume you're talking about DD. Except for Online play; these can also fit for RTTS and Franchise.

DD 5/10
DD content 8/10
franchise mode 7/10
Road to the show 7/10
Online rated 8/10So that would put the game as a whole 7/10. If you just base it off DD alone 4/10. Content was great, gameplay was terrible In DD. For me gameplay is king. Content is use to keep a player engaged in a game not to cover up the bad gameplay
