Comparing two different cards

When you compare two cards and you get the screen where it shows the attributes and the check marks for each player's better attributes; does it automatically deduct the 10% penalty if they're out of position?

Those are highlighted in red with the reduction in those ratings and notes “Out of Position Penalty”.

Ok, so if I compared Milestone Pujols with Awards Chipper; it would show the negative impact towards Albert's attributes in red?
And will that affect just his fielding, reaction, etc or will it also affect his hitting stats? And thank you.

From what I’m looking at right now, it will show the new reduced rating in orange if secondary position and red for out of position. It only has an effect on arm accuracy, fielding, and reaction from what is on my screen.
