Market - only sell no buy prices
-
How do you buy players like don Sutton that have a sell price but no buy prices or ability to buy the card. You can see completed orders , but the buy order I put does not show up. Same for new Mike trout.

You put in the max and wait. In Trout's instance, the highest it can sell for is 1m. If you put in a 1m buy order, it's there, you'll just be waiting for the thousands in front of you

Ok, I thought that might be how it works. Just don’t understand why a card like Don Sutton can’t sell for more then 2500 slowing me to buy. If you put in a sell order with out owning it it will say there is better option.?!? Lol

The max sell now price is determined based on the rating of the card. In the past that limitation wasn't put in place, so you would see worthless bronze cards selling for an absurd amount of stubs. This also made it easier for people to manipulate the market and transfer stubs from one account to another, which is against the terms of service.
As for that Sutton card, unless he comes back in a rewind pack in the 10th inning (which is possible), you're probably not getting that card. There are 1692 current orders at the max price, and absolutely no supply. I don't think you've been able to earn that card since one of the early inning programs, and most people who have him locked him in for collections.

That makes sense as well. First year playing on Xbox. There are sells though , guess depends where you at in queue
Thanks for reply

Aa PSF said, people just tend to not sell those type of early low level reward cards at this point in the game due to the max sale price. They locked them in ages ago so there is no new supply and people just don’t have them sitting in inventory looking to offload for 2500 measly stubs this late in game

I have the same issue with Harmon Killebrew Bronze 72 Veteran card. I'm assuming he was a 1st Inning reward and has not been released since so I have to wait and hope they'll do rewind packs.
And alas, I shall never get Alomar and now possibly Trout. Oh the first world problems we endure.
