I play RS on All Star, pitchers with less VELO are not as usable.

I haven't faced anyone with ALL outlier pitchers.

I mostly see Verlander and deGrom in RS.

I do pretty much the same thing except I throw in Glavine to screw with people. I usually pitch well with him because everyone has been facing outlier pitchers and swing way too early for several innings. When the start slowing down their swings I switch to an outlier pitcher.

I think it is really unfair that they kept these 102 mph pitchers and also made it so much harder to check swing. The combination makes it really tough for those of us who aren't very good at hitting in this game. It ends up being just a big strike-out fest! I even have a monitor and fast internet connection and am almost always late on these 100+ mph fastballs. Then again I am old with slower reflexes...
