"Unlockable" Idea For MLBTS22

(1st please let me start off by saying .... Even though I encourage & enjoy when any of you replying back to postings I submit. Even if for good or bad or in agreement or disagreement with me. I welcome them all. However some of my posting can be long & very detailed. This posting will follow suit. So "Please" do NOT "Quote" me when replying. There is no need for all of this to be listed again & again. Just please only send a "Quick Reply" if you like to agree, disagree, add, comment, critique, etc towards my posting. Thank You.)
Every year SDS launches a different specialty item for collections like Uniforms, Bobble Heads, Trophy Balls, etc. SDS should lauch out Cards of MLB Managers. Our DD team will have a slot to place our chosen Manager on our DD Team. We will see that Manager in pre-game cut scenes giving line-up card to ump & interacting with his players. We could see him go to the mound to take out the Pitcher & Signal with his left hand for a LHP. But apart from the visual involvement within the game. His card gives a specific passive perk that is applied to his entire team or for either all his Pitchers or Hitting pending the perk.
Diamond Managers .... Are for World Series Managers. 1 different for each of the 30 MLB teams. Such as Davey Johnson (NYM) Joe Torre (NYY) Tommy Lasorda (LAD) Lou Pinela (TB) Sparky Anderson (DET) Etc, Etc. .... Diamond Managers give "Boost Perks" which is the equivalent of a +3 Attribute or 3% modding factor. These individual Perk Boost can be like as follows ....
HITTING BOOST (Mangers will be random with which of these perks they offer)
Timing Window (swing timing for Perfect is slight easier) Vision (increases slightly outer PCI) Contact (increases slightly center PCI) Power, Base Running Speed, Bunting, Strike Zone (make Strike Zone slightly smaller), Oppisite Field Influence, Dead Pull Influence, Up The Middle Influence, Anti Shift Influence, Fly Ball Influence, Line Drive Influence, Intimidation (slighty lowers Pitcher's Confidence), Fair Ball Influence (Makes Borderline Foul Balls become Borderline Fair Balls)
PITCHING BOOST
Stamina, Control, Velocity, Movement, Confidence (slightly prevents confidence decrease), Strike Zone Increase (makes strike zone slightly bigger), Pop Up Influence, Ground Ball Influence, Faster Wind Up/Delivery, Error-less Pick Off Throws
FIELDING BOOST (for all positions including Pitcher) Fielding & Defense, Arm & Accuracy, Jump & Dive, Reaction & Range, Error-less Double PlaysGold Managers .... would be the actual 2022 Managers. They each will give a +2 Perk to a certain Attribute (Power, Contact, Vision, Speed, Control, Velocity, Etc.) & these perks may be repeated among Mangers due to being there are NOT 30 different Attributes. So 2 Managers will have +2 Power or +2 Control.
Silver Managers ... would be Former Mangers whom managed that team for 4 or more seasons & did NOT win a World Series. They only give a +1 Attribute Perk.
IN CLOSING
Once you collect that card via a pack opening, getting via a reward or buying it off the market. Then you can use that Manager Card if you feel the Perk it offers you will help your game play Strategy. Lets say you like the running game with base stealing & bunting. Then MGR's which give a the Bunting Perk or the Base Running Speed Boost Perk would now be the MGR you are trying to get.I just think this all bring a great & new fresh element to DD & lets us enjoy using & seeing MGR's within the game.

No thanks. We are the managers so no need for a manager card to help overinflate attributes even more.

I wouldn’t be opposed to managers as long as they are cosmetic only, who doesn’t want to see Jim Leyland in their dugout hacking a dart?.

Ok. This I can agree with. Give me a Casey Stengel, Connie Mack or John McGraw pacing the dugout.

I always thought its odd you dont get to pick your manager or at least make one, especially the current sprite are brutal

That’s a no from me. I don’t want to have to pay for a diamond manager just to be on a level playing field with everyone else. People would just use whoever has the best perks anyway, negating the whole point of using who you want to use. Obviously none of that would be an issue if they were purely cosmetic though. But SDS would have to get the individual rights for any retired managers (maybe even current managers too, don’t know if they’re included in the MLBPA deal), which would be money and effort much better spent on actual players instead.

They have to be purely cosmetic otherwise we are heading into EA territory

Id rather just have the option of being able to adjust how many bench players and RP you can have on the team
