With 102 MPH FBs & Sinkers/Spliters clocking as his as 98 MPH being the "New Norm" & as well the timing window being decreased. There should be something in place to balance that out for RS to DS leveled players. Most CS & WS players can hit 102 MPH FBs & 95+ Sinker's/Spliter's/Cutter's. But many in RS- to DS can not do it well enough with frequency & consistently.

What I thought of & suggest is "Meter Hitting" which is the same concept as "Meter Pitching", but in reverse. the meter starts to flow the second the ball is released out of the Pitchers hand & the speed of it will move accordingly to the actual speed of the pitch being thrown & showing the line 1 needs to hit to be at perfect or close enough to perfect timing. The PCI will still need to be placed properly. This aid will help many many players. If a Pitcher need to hit the line to get a perfect released & placed pitch. The the batter need to hit the line to get prefect swing timing.

Now I know many of you will say that it is NOT fair for those that hit successfully without a meter. I will agree 100% with you. This is why I also suggest there be a penalty for those opting to use this "Meter Hitting" Mode. Just how the size of the PCI is changed with being biggest on Contact, Normal on Normal & Smaller on Power.. Those that use this Mode will have a penalty within contact itself. A contact swing is now how a Normal Swing would be in regards to contact success. A Normal Swing would be how a Power swing would be in regards to contact success. And a Power Swing would be affected even more then how a Power Swing is now towards contact success. That would be the trade off. Lowering your contact ability for better timing. I think that is fair overall for those who use this "Meter Hitting" Mode & as well for those who do not.

    What do you guys think?

I think any new idea is viable and worth looking into, but the odds of a hitting interface overhaul from SDS is small to nil.
The only interface even close to a realistic baseball swing/approach is directional-- see the ball in a spot and swing. Timing and intent (push/pull/fly ball/ground ball) is everything.

But as long as we can somehow hit a ball 3 ft off the plate with our "Second Set of Eyes" (how dumb), zone is the only way to be competitive beyond All-Star.

Good idea, but next year will have the same tired, laughable, PS3 Era interfaces they've had for the 8 or so years I've played.
