There could be more than 9 inning programs
What players left? Carl Ripken probably next BR what else?
Actually there are a LOT of player left that could get better cards. Pujols, Griffey, Trout are obvious. But there’s also Gagne, Babe, Doby, Bagwell just to name a few. I would love to see some middle relievers get some love like Tony Sipp from a few years ago. They could accomplish that via flashback cards.

Despite his Injuries, he still had a pretty stellar year. Plus he's the cover athlete and one of the faces of baseball. Of stars in the game that don't have more than their LS cards here are the ones I can think of:

Fernando Tatis Jr.
Freddie Freeman
Buster Posey

Another side effect of over rating players and releasing end game players mid way through the game, someone like Trea Turner could have been a finest collection reward, won the NL batting title, or even make the two mvps the finest collection reward but you probably can’t because they already have 98’s. I guess Tatis is an NL MVP candidate so I don’t mind.

Right, but Posey, Goldy and Freeman although very good players would disappoint as the biggest collection. Trout was the big guy last year so I don't see it being him.

You clearly aren’t understanding what I am saying, I get that he’s a candidate, but in reality he’s the only MVP candidate who hasn’t been given a juiced card this year which just makes him an auto choice. If they had not juiced everyones cards mid game cycle we might be able to have a debate on whether he’s the final collection reward for the finest collection. Me personally, I think Vlad Jr. is far more deserving, but he has a 99 already so he can’t be.

I was looking through the flashbacks and legend collections yesterday. I'm not sure the increase is going to be much bigger than what we've already collected. They won't make you collect every card and for some of the collections, there aren't many left to add in. I guess they could add more in a new Run It Back pack or something, but there arent' a ton of cards to add to each collection from what's already there.
They'll add Finest as a collectable to complete it so you will probably need all the finest cards ....and remember if they release more legends and flashbacks that 'll increase the collection count. Wont cost us just more grinding which I am all for.

I do agree, but the fact that the last 2 were Mookie and Kershaw, Freeman and Posey are kind of in line. Personally, I'd rather see a legend on par with Mariano or Jackie. Maybe Ripken, Foxx or if he's not a Boss, Ruth.
I've also said, they could have a Finest collection like they did with Ohtani for the All Star collection. They could have Riley win the Braves Finest, and make Freddie the Finest collection reward. No reason they can't have 2 Finest for 1 team. It's a fantasy game, they make the rules. Crawford could get the Giants Finest and Posey is the collection reward etc.
Stranger things...and such.
