HOF batting and legend pitching in online rated no issues here git gud
Haha wait wait wait, you're dropping the git gud line. You don't even play DD. You play Online rated games with lineups of much lower cards on the 99 scale. Online rated and DD modes aren't even close to the same thing.
But seriously, you're going to tell someone to git good hitting .196 in almost 300 online games .
Aren't you just a wonderful contributor to these forums. Imagine being such a miserable [censored] that you repeatedly go after people who post about something they don't like about the game including checking their online profiles or telling them to git good, while sucking eggs at the game yourself.
Pot meet kettle
I’ve never been a excellent hitter see every year I’ve played but again I’m not using all 99s and playing HOF with lower tier cards with PCIs the size of a pea
If you were playing the event right now, you'd know there is currently only one 99 position player who is event eligible (99 Tim Anderson). There are however 21 SP and 3 RP who are event eligible that are 99 overall players.
There is a discernable advantage towards the pitchers and when you add in the jumpy PCI that goes all over the place I can see why players are a bit frustrated, especially if you don't regularly play on HOF.
It isn't simply always a git good issue.

Here is the problem with outlier. Jacob degrom has outlier, but he only averaged throwing 7 pitches per game 100 plus. Now in the game you can hammer 102 for 9 innings. They should be able to hit 102 according to irl stats. But as we know SDS doesn’t use irl stats when it’s applied to pitching
And Brusdar hardly touches 100, but IRL hes constantly at 102. Go figure

Yeah, I agree. I don’t really understand the git gud crowd that wants to play on HOF and Legend all the time. There is certainly a spot in the game for them, but they have to understand they are the overwhelming minority. I’m currently 53-12 in RS and capable of getting wins on HOF, but it’s simply just not fun to me. It’s a video game after all, I play it for fun. I have much more fun hitting dingers in a slug fest on All Star than a long 2-1 drawn out, soul draining DeGrom vs Verlander pitchers duel.
I couldn’t agree with you more sir!! I made WS 4 times in ‘17. I made it as high as 840 earlier this year. So I’m decent, not great by any means. The gameplay for RS is absolutely brutal. I can’t stand these pitching duel games.
Conversely speaking, I hated BR in years past. Played it last week for the first time and had a blast!! The missions are fun and the gameplay is waaaaaay better!
gameplay in 17 was a just late fest, it wasnt that great was way easier to hit. Fastballs up in went for oppo taco shots all day long.

As someone who only plays on HOF in events I swear the user input on hitting is even less important. I'll make decent contact according to the feedback but no results but get hits on garbage feedback. Very frustrating.
-
While I agree this event isn't the best, the topps now cards aren't the problem. You can get a whole lineup of cards over 115 contact vs R fairly easy. The problem is the same problem we have had all year, which are the no-hitter cards
-
It’s timing windows and the servers. Not to mention that SDS is using an out dated game engine.

Yeah there was a lot of that. It was still more fun than what we have now. This game, on HOF is absolutely positively ZERO fun!!!

I like that people are coming around to BR as the best mode for BASEBALL.
All star difficulty is fine so long as teams aren't end-game God Squads.
It's actually possible to see pitches and thus lay off them.
Hit variety is increased due to spotty fielding and pitching.
Baserunning is better because most catchers aren't great and every outfielder doesn't have a cannon.
The program makes it possible for average players to get the goods. And if you're a good player but not WS-level, you can keep playing in hopes of going 12-0 or 12 wins.
Made it to 33 points last night, my only issue being that some dicks dashboard if they're gonna lose. Cost me about 7, maybe 14 points.

Oh, AND you're "forced" to use cards you otherwise wouldn't, giving meaning to the grind.
-
BR is the best mode but they made it a bit "too easy" imo as I got to 78 points yesterday so will be done today. Will still likely play this weekend just for fun since I enjoy the mode but it should take a little more effort than 1-2 days imo to get those rewards. Thankfully I got my 25 event wins so as much as I enjoyed the challenge of HOF (25-4) I much prefer the slugfest of BR

Very solid post about BR. I don't have an answer but wish there was some type of incentive to keep playing BR when done with thr program for those of us who will never sniff 12-0.

Yep. Unfortunately, will most likely never happen for me. I have an outside shot of going 12-1, though, having reached 10 and 11 wins before.
Another incentive is to keep using different team builds and paralleling players you would never use before.

if you reached 10, 11 wins then you are more than capable of doing it, dont sell yourself short.

Thanks, but as a middle-of-the-road player it all depends on the luck of the draw for me. I've beaten several guys with WS banners and even one with a 12-0 banner. But 12 wins is a lot, and all it takes is one game where you hit PP's right at people and then lose on bunt cheese in the 4th...;)
