What amazes me is members of this community who are unable to be objective. Chuck has been a mainstay on here for years and is a great example of what is possible in this community.
Instead of calling him a whiner or a cry baby (which is the stock response to posts critical of the gameplay on here), you guys should be asking yourselves why veteran players of the game going back to 2015 are fed up.
I don't know Chuck, nor do I know half of the people in here, but why say that you aren't pre-ordering next year's game when it hasn't even been stated when the pre-order will start?
Also, and this is no offense to Chuck and not meant to be an insult; but I've seen plenty of posts in here, myself included, that state they are going to stop playing; yet he we are still playing.
When next season comes around and he doesn't pre-order, then we can revisit why he didn't do so.
But until the time comes, anything people state about not playing next year is just heresay.

Shouldn't you be working on the game trying to improve it? I mean someone this defensive about this game surely has to be involved with working on it. I've actually been playing a lot of golf lately. I don't have to worry about a dev's inability to code the game to work online with an opponent. Very refreshing.

See that's the thing, I haven't been on TSN much this year. While the last week or so I've criticized the last gameplay patch, I've also answered questions in other posts. The online environment this year has been the worst it's ever been. As a paying customer I used their platform to voice my honest opinion including my decision to not pre-order the game.
I don't lay down for forum trolls though that are allowed to run amok and try to put people down. I've never jumped in a post that supports the game and tried to put someone down.
You know firsthand I've been banned on this site multiple times while defending the game.

Do you even look at the games or just the game history page? I swear some of you people are just dumb. Didn't play from 10/25- 10/28. Most of the games from 10/29-11/1 were 1st through 3rd inning quits with most being 1st.
14 games yesterday and I was on for a total of about an hour. Actually do some research prior to looking like a complete tool.
10/31 - didn't play
10/30 - 3 games maybe an hour.

It's the ONLY Basebal game out there like this and that is what the problem is. SDS puts out whatever & we just eat it because it's the ONLY 1 out there. So it's either play this (regardless how many things we dislike or hate about it) or play nothing at all. I love Baseball in general too much to NOT being able to play a Baseball Video Game. So therefor I still play it & will continue to play it. However will abandon & leave MLBTS is someone like 2K or EA relaunches out a Baseball game again.
if you think you'll have fun playing online in 2k or ea games thats not gonna happen dog, gotta break out the wallet in those games.

Nothing about OP post was bad or negative, Why do people care when someone does not like something about the game. Some people can not help them self and have to respond in a negative way. I will still be buying the game and will probably pre order. I do not take this game as serious as others. At the end of the day it is a video game. The game cost 60-100 and will entertain me for 365 days. Does online play have issues well yes do the servers have issues yes. If someone chooses to post I am not buying next year why do you all care enough to respond and if you say you do not care then why respond. You pick and choose what you respond to and how you respond. Some people make them selves look like a donkey.

You’re honestly right. I’m just new to these forums and when I first saw demise for some reason it ground my gears cause I love this game to bits and pieces. But I didn’t even know what their talking about. I don’t play ranked, this isn’t my place to talk. I just, was offended almost? Maybe it’s because it’s my first year, or because I don’t play much RS like I said earlier. It just seems magical. And I can play for hours and not get bored in the slightest. When I was grinding for Jackie on Xbox I remember staying up till 7 am just cause I was having that much fun playing at my new create a stadium and using all these weird 42 players. But I guess if everyone liked the same thing there wouldn’t be enough to go around. Thanks man.

I agree that online makes this game play terribly.
The question I keep asking though, is name a sports game that plays great online? Every community for each of these games complains about the same network/lag issues. Lag compensation from P2P connections cause many of the issues, as do server locations and connections. I would like to know if there is any sports title that solved these issues, because I dont know of any.

It is because they cater to the majority of the U.S. that has poor internet. There is a reason the alleged servers are in Florida, Chicago and NY. All areas with garbage internet.
Pretty sure Weens is in Philly so say I played him. The only servers between us are Chicago and NY. My internet can get to the NY server significantly faster than his can the Chicago server. Therefore, the game is going to connect to the New York server. That being said his information will likely get to the server first even though my internet is far better due to the distance. His game will play great (like always because you are not going 500-50 if it isn't), mine will play like [censored]. I can promise you if we played 10 games at each location, the results would be obvious.
There are a few problems with this scenario. Why am I matched up with this internet to begin with? There are not enough servers to combat this issue. Can we not find an opponent where the ping to the servers is close?
