I think there will be a collection reward, but I think Tatis is just straight up the padres finest card

I’m struggling to think of who would even be a worthwhile collection reward that doesn’t already have a 2021 AS/other high card, or isn’t the only real option for their team.

    Trout

He played 36 games, he isn’t getting a finest this year.

Not for the Angels team Finest. As the reward. Only player that would make sense other than Tatis.

    Trout

He usually gets a Signature or Awards card (something of that sort); but I am not opposed to it being a finest card.

The collection reward for collecting finest cards would also be a finest card, which trout isn’t going to get.

30/30 Trout would top 3 outfielder in the game... I wouldn’t use him because of my high socks and stirrups only team build rule I have, but he’d be worth the collection reward.

A finest soto card from this year would be better though. He improved drastically on defense this year

I get it, I'm just trying to think who else could be a worthy Finest reward besides the previously mentioned Tatis.

Tatis should be the Padres Finest for this year so any Finest collection reward or big collection reward would have to be someone else.

Hoping to see "Finest - Garrett Cole" this year. His Finest Card always played well for me. Always been my #2 Starter. SS-Kershaw was always my #1 Starter, But I'm still trying to complete 4 more vouchers before I could unlock him.

Does the collection reward (assuming there is one) have to be a Finest from a previous season? Could it be a second player from a team this year? For instance, let's say they gave the Padres a Mark Melacon Finest and Made Tatis an ultimate reward?

I understand the concept that Finest is the best player on a team so having 2 from one team sort of defeats that. In that case, can they invent one from a prior year? If Trout never had one before, couldn't they make him a Finest from a previous year as a new card? Or even crazier, why not create a Finest Griffey Jr. From 1997, Albert Pujols from 2009 or Babe Ruth from 1926.

This is a video game with a fantasy twist where Eddie Rosario is equal to Lou Gehrig and Future Stars play as Hall of Famers. Why do they have to stick to some sort of made up rules?

I'm just spit balling here. I'm sure they'll do none of the above but I don't really see why they couldn't.

If we're being extremely literal here, Finest can certainly used as a plural superlative.

Here are 50 of the Yankees Finest players.

I did try it for fun, but last year’s Finest Juan Soto was not something you would enjoy in your outfield. The card could hit though.
