I'm not retired. But I am up there in age & easily older then probably 80% of MLBTS players. I'm hitting 51yo this year. Been playing video games going back to the Quarter Arcades & the Atari 2600. Played on every system since then (with exception of PS5 & Xbox Series X ... still waiting for the price to drop down much more). I am 1 of those that never outgrew playing video games. I am a true gamer.
So do NOT feel weird or alone. There are more like us out there. However within the minority. LOL

Its really too bad our league fizzled out so quick. That was the sole purpose of me getting the game this year. Maybe most of the guys didn't like playing on HOF but heck if can go 6-4 at my age on that level, so can the 40 year olds. In any event we have some good people on our Discord channel.

I think it was a combination of things. The grind, schedules, and playing on HOF. Regardless, there are some great players on our Discord channel!

Just curious because I've been retired since 2016 and play the show quite a bit. I know of a couple "old guys" that play and was wondering how many are really out there.
I'm "only" 48, but same circumstances as a lot of us Gen X'ers.
Played everything since the Atari 2600 and up (and still had time for real baseball, basketball and girls, haha!)Prefer video games to alcoholism, which is apparently more socially acceptable.
"Why do you play video games? They're for kids!"
"Why do you drink a 5th of bourbon every day?"
Conversation over.We should start an above 40 league!

That was quite the nail-biter!!!! I got lucky on that HR...if I wouldn't have had that, I would have lost for sure!

Heh, I like this. My wife continually reminds me that I am her oldest and most expensive child. I remind her that even though I see grey when I look in the mirror, and I ache when I stand up, my brain thinks I'm still thirteen.

Thanks bud, I will check it out. Totally get where your coming from too, I see less grey and more scalp if you know what I mean! Still got that pony tail at the back though
I try to do the same things as I did as a nineteen year old, just have to go to bed earlier and pee more...
