How many innings programs are there going to be?
From memory, there were eleven last year. Might have been twelve. I seriously can't remember.
-
I get why there are more than 9, but it makes more sense if there was only 9, and put other 99 cards for collections, packs(not headlines, content packs) stuff like that. I feel like that would make the game better. IMO

It would probably be best for you, if this were your last show. You obviously don't have the time for this type of game, and there are plenty of others out there, where you don't have to really invest any time into it.
Wow, that's not elitist at all. lol
But you're probably right. If your time isn't that valuable to you that you can be guided by a game timeline, that's fine I guess. Take it from someone that actually died and was brought back, it's not. After eight years of playing, this game might not be for me anymore.

I had the same thing with 2k

I get it, I wish they would do what they do with Team Affinity and the Monthly programs and just leave them for people to finish at their own time. I do like the competitive urgency of it, but I happen to have a little more time on my hands and have definitely been in situations where I couldn't enjoy a video game even once a week.
-
?? I didn't play opening weekend. Missed 4 days being in the hospital a couple weeks back. Didn't play this past weekend.
I reached the bosses earlier today. As little as I've played and got to there.without doin the last inning collection...pretty sure anyone can. -

They did it that way last year and you know what happened?
People b*tched and complained because they were "forced" to complete the collections and conquest and such. (Because "live" XP only went to the current inning, not previous ones.)
SDS literally can't win.

Please SDS, please stop with timed innings programs. Even with Quad XP, there is very little chance of me making it to the bosses.
This will be the third one in a row I've missed out on.
Can you just stop putting a time limit on everything, please.
I know I will get swamped with, "it's so easy to get there", but it's actually not if you have a number of commitments and not a lot of time to play.
I know it won't matter to anyone, but I'm seriously considering making this my last version of the show. My time is my time, SDS, and it is valuable to me. I'm sick being timed and made to feel rushed on something that should actually just be for enjoyment.
Are you protesting that you can’t have whatever you want in life for free? Should they just give you all the best players when you log in? Would you prefer they put them behind a massive pay wall? What would be the point of playing the game if you got everything for nothing?

Oh really? Yeah, you are right with your last comment. People seem to find fault in their every move. I'm still super new to this game so other than the server issues, I've been pretty stoked about everything else.
I do like that XP relates to the current inning that there is a certain timetable to finish it. Maybe the comment about the final inning or an extra inning having all the boss choice packs available would be cool. I tend to go back and buy all the bosses anyway and it's hard for me to be the barometer, I have plenty of time at the moment.

Your not missing out on anything, unless you really like a certain player. You can do the same, sometimes better with a card that isn't a 99. Build your team the way you like it, don't stress over having the highest rated, latest, greatest.

These people are out of control. Complaining they don’t get free cards easily enough when they are already easy to obtain….complaining about having to redo four base moments with a strike zone sized pci because the pitcher throws balls.
Next year SDS would have to give away everything at the start of the season and put the ball on a tee for every moment to please these people.
-
LOL at all the people with they are easy to obtain. I have had time this week to play 4 conquest games, literally. If your time is not valuable to you, that's your business. Time is the only thing that has true value.
As for the clowns indicating that I want things for free, I don't. I want to be able to grind for them in my time, not yours.

Once again, if your time is not valuable to you, that's fine. Having seen what's on the other side, I value it very differently. Time is all we have.
As for having something for nothing, what is it to you if they extend the innings and let you grind them at your leisure? It's still time, but at my choosing. I don't want it for nothing, I want it when I can do it. Your argument is quite moronic, and completely baseless.

I mean the cards are available in the auction house…complete whatever program you want and sell the reward to buy whatever player you missed.
Your entire first post did have a whining/protesting tone to it like you are being cheated.

Nope, that was not the intention and I apologise if that is how it came across. I simply would like the option to grind inning bosses at my leisure, not on SDS's clock. I'd like it set up like the team affinity, where you can pick and choose and work towards what you want, or the player programs.
I don't want anything for free. I just want to be able to achieve it in my time. If people want to complete it quicker, that's fine too. They can make more money flipping I guess.

For the 12th inning they should just have all the inning bosses as rewards in a program that goes to 33 million XP.
Edit: Oh and have really crazy repeatable collections like "Collect 5 free agents for 100k XP".
I am all about the repeatable bosses in last inning

That makes sense. Ultimately SDS treats their players well….especially compared to other sports games.

The issue and argument you have is one that is debated not only in this game but many others
The inning programs have to be viewed as a battle pass like this found in Forte Nite or COD that are part of a season and when that season is over the pass is gone and a new one starts and what was there in the past season is gone.
From a players point of view it's not great because it creates a FOMO mindset but it also rewards those that play that game exclusively and the time to devote to the game in the long run. Gamers who don't have the time or play exclusively will feel like missed out cause of its expiring nature and can't do things at their speed.
From a business side of things this obviously the goal is to create engagement with product over a long period of time to expiring elements will create that as players will make sure to play and stay engaged so they don't miss out.
In the case of MLB this was the first time SDS implemented a expiring program system for the inning programs however this is not a new element as MLB 2017 and 2018 had time programs that became uncompletable after a certain time frame. SDS would have the data to determine how many of the active player base that has reached the boss pack and how many are close hence why we see double xp weekends and extra collections added to push those to the finish line.
Ultimately there will be no changes to this in this year's game and if the expiring programs remain next year this will indicate the data shows the majority of the player base reached the boss pack and engagement in the product remain throughout the year. Unfortunately what that means for you is that you are in the minority of the player base that can devote the time needed to complete the program in the alloted time again this being part of a larger debate on weather this is a good thing for the industry and gamers alike but in the long run developers and publishers are seeing longer engagement with their games because of it and more money is rolling in its not going to change.
On a personal view of things I think SDS does a good job of giving alot of ways to get to the 350k mark as well providing other programs that don't expire with great rewards that it provides a good balance for all players. If you don't have the time to devote to the game to complete the inning programs for whatever reasons that is just part of life and sometimes in life we miss out on things.

If you don’t have time to play then why post on the game’s forum? I think a lot of people here understand priorities but I’m not sure very many understand complaining about it.
