Stopped playing about a month after release, has the game gotten any better

I stopped playing about a month after launch so I could wait for some of the game destroying bugs to be patched out and I’m thinking of coming back to it.
So I was just wondering what the state of the game is like now or if it’s still absolute dogshit. Like is the progression stuff and the equipment bug been fixed and has all the numerous problems with being a two way player been fixed at all.
