Is it just me or does his 55 speed seem slower than Grandal's 4 speed?

I tried sending him home on a deep fly out to the warning track and he moves at a crawl. But I have to say, I've never attempted the same thing with Grandal because I expect him to get thrown out.

Grandal has that (1) speed but you can't sleep on his (9) base running aggressiveness
