First off, let me apologize because I know there are some folks out there that hate these topics and I'm sorry, but it's always nice to get advice on certain cards; especially ones you're about to drop a couple hundred thousand Stubs on.

So with that out of the way, here's who I'm looking at:

Francisco Lindor, SS - (99) Signature Series

    • I still haven't found a shortstop that I truly love to this point, aside from Awards Trevor Story; but his attributes just don't match up with some of these other potential beefy shortstops. I've never done too well with Lindor cards but this card looks to have everything that I look for at short.

Javier Baez, SS - (99) Flashback Finest

    • Unlike Lindor, I've always raked with Baez cards but the thing is... he just doesn't look like that much of an upgrade over Story or Larkin (my current SS).

    Cody Bellinger, OF/1B - (99) Awards Series

    • This card really looks appealing and considering I haven't done all that well with the new Mickey Mantle, this might actually be my best option -- assuming the cards plays up to it's attributes. I'd love to hear some opinions on this card.

Jake Arrieta, SP - (99) Milestones Series

    • I've actually bought and sold this card already (decided to pick up Verlander instead, at the time) and now I'm coming back to him. I loved using Arrieta but I'm not sure if this is my best use of my Stubs when I already have a more than fine rotation.

If it helps with recommendations, here's my team I usually run:

    SP1 - Clayton Kershaw (99)
    SP2 - Justin Verlander (99)
    SP3 - Nolan Ryan (99)
    SP4 - Greg Maddux (99)
    SP5 - Al Leiter (97)

Also use: Vida Blue (99), Kerry Wood (99), Jacob deGrom (99), and Tom Seaver (99)

    LR - Alex Reyes (96)
    MID - Andrew Miller (98)
    MID - Aroldis Chapman (97)
    MID - Rollie Fingers (96)
    MID - Trevor Hoffman (97)
    SU - Rich Gossage (99)
    SU - Kenley Jansen (99)
    CL - Mariano Rivera (99)

    C - Adley Rutschman (99)
    1B - Frank Thomas (99)
    2B - Honus Wagner (99)
    SS - Barry Larkin (99)
    3B - Chipper Jones (99)
    LF - Vladimir Guerrero (99)
    CF - Mickey Mantle (99)
    RF - Mookie Betts (99)

    Bench:
    Craig Biggio, C/OF - (99)
    Marcus Semien, 2B/3B/SS - (96)
    Mike Trout, OF - (96 - T5)
    Nicholas Castellanos, 1B/3B/OF - (99)
    Cedric Mullins, OF (98)

I would go Bellinger out of those choices for sure. Lindor and Baez are both extremely fun cards, but Bellinger cards always play far above what they look like on paper

...so I picked up Cody Bellinger! He ran me 498K (I got impatient with my Buy Order and just bought it at the lowest ask).

I'd still love to hear anyone else's experiences with Javier Baez, Francisco Lindor, or Jake Arrieta.

I own him but I don't know, I get shellacked with him whenever I use him online. I think people have just seen him way too much and to me, personally, I think his pitches are easy to read and are just too straight.

There are so many SPs that I would use ahead of Ohtani. The hitting attributes are great but I don't see them making up for his lack of deceptive stuff on the mound.

    2B - Honus Wagner (99)
    SS - Barry Larkin (99)
    3B - Chipper Jones (99)
    LF - Vladimir Guerrero (99)
    CF - Mickey Mantle (99)
    RF - Mookie Betts (99)

    Bench:
    Craig Biggio, C/OF - (99)
    Marcus Semien, 2B/3B/SS - (96)
    Mike Trout, OF - (96 - T5)
    Nicholas Castellanos, 1B/3B/OF - (99)
    Cedric Mullins, OF (98)

    Where will you put Hank?

Ya know, I'm not totally sure. He's definitely intriguing but after picking up Bellinger, I really don't foresee myself going out of my way to replace any of my current guys.

I also noticed you don't have that 99 Ohtani in there. Is that card garbage?

I own him but I don't know, I get shellacked with him whenever I use him online. I think people have just seen him way too much and to me, personally, I think his pitches are easy to read and are just too straight.

There are so many SPs that I would use ahead of Ohtani. The hitting attributes are great but I don't see them making up for his lack of deceptive stuff on the mound.

I assume it would be a plus if you could actually use him in the outfield after he gets pulled.

Exactly. It's cool that he can be used as a righty-smasher off the bench as a pinch-hitter but man, last time I used him online, I got embarrassed. Gave up 10 runs in like two innings and pitching is usually the strong part of my game.

First off, let me apologize because I know there are some folks out there that hate these topics and I'm sorry, but it's always nice to get advice on certain cards; especially ones you're about to drop a couple hundred thousand Stubs on.

So with that out of the way, here's who I'm looking at:

Francisco Lindor, SS - (99) Signature Series

    • I still haven't found a shortstop that I truly love to this point, aside from Awards Trevor Story; but his attributes just don't match up with some of these other potential beefy shortstops. I've never done too well with Lindor cards but this card looks to have everything that I look for at short.

Javier Baez, SS - (99) Flashback Finest

    • Unlike Lindor, I've always raked with Baez cards but the thing is... he just doesn't look like that much of an upgrade over Story or Larkin (my current SS).

    Cody Bellinger, OF/1B - (99) Awards Series

    • This card really looks appealing and considering I haven't done all that well with the new Mickey Mantle, this might actually be my best option -- assuming the cards plays up to it's attributes. I'd love to hear some opinions on this card.

Jake Arrieta, SP - (99) Milestones Series

    • I've actually bought and sold this card already (decided to pick up Verlander instead, at the time) and now I'm coming back to him. I loved using Arrieta but I'm not sure if this is my best use of my Stubs when I already have a more than fine rotation.

If it helps with recommendations, here's my team I usually run:

    SP1 - Clayton Kershaw (99)
    SP2 - Justin Verlander (99)
    SP3 - Nolan Ryan (99)
    SP4 - Greg Maddux (99)
    SP5 - Al Leiter (97)

Also use: Vida Blue (99), Kerry Wood (99), Jacob deGrom (99), and Tom Seaver (99)

    LR - Alex Reyes (96)
    MID - Andrew Miller (98)
    MID - Aroldis Chapman (97)
    MID - Rollie Fingers (96)
    MID - Trevor Hoffman (97)
    SU - Rich Gossage (99)
    SU - Kenley Jansen (99)
    CL - Mariano Rivera (99)

    C - Adley Rutschman (99)
    1B - Frank Thomas (99)
    2B - Honus Wagner (99)
    SS - Barry Larkin (99)
    3B - Chipper Jones (99)
    LF - Vladimir Guerrero (99)
    CF - Mickey Mantle (99)
    RF - Mookie Betts (99)

    Bench:
    Craig Biggio, C/OF - (99)
    Marcus Semien, 2B/3B/SS - (96)
    Mike Trout, OF - (96 - T5)
    Nicholas Castellanos, 1B/3B/OF - (99)
    Cedric Mullins, OF (98)

    Where will you put Hank?

Hank , Mantle, Guerrero and Bellinger at 1st base. Thomas on the bench.

Bellinger is good I have him and the other guys you listed except for Arrieta. No doubt about Bellinger but you have many options if your thinking about using him at first and a really solid much cheaper option you could use in Rf the right fielder I am talking about is Larry Walker defensively it's a wash both are really really good cant miss no matter what you decide to do. If you go the Walker route you should be able to get Lindor as well which will give you a really great bat at SS and honestly I may be a little biased because Lindor is my favorite card to use, has been every since I first started playing the game in 19 but what I learned quickly about Lindor is dont pay any attention to his hitting attributes not that his are bad but the dude has an amazing swing and kills it from both sides of the plate. If you haven't used him I would say buy his gold Mets card and see for yourself against some friends or in whatever mode you enjoy I think when you play a little with his card you will see the value. Bellinger is close to 500k Lindor is 300k and change leaving plenty for Walker who also is really another very good card anyone who used his first card last year and that has tried this version out will tell you he is solid and kills righties. His 99 inning boss card probably played a little better last year but considering it was the best card in the game for a good portion of the game cycle the fact that this card doesn't feel that far off you really get a nice 2 for 1 with Walker and Lindor and it rains stubs so it won't take you long to get Bellinger. Just my thoughts you have a good problem cant really go wrong.
