When you play the Topps moments this week, there is a Pujols home run moment aga ish not the Cardinals. I was curious if he was getting a Topps card and when I paused to look, it had a blank card with a 96 diamond. So. It's neither his rookie card (89) nor his 2nd half (97) and in the Topps collections there are no Pujols cards.
Either there is a random glitch, or there is a mystery Pujols 96 diamond with no picture.
Does anyone know and or care? Haha, these are not at all important questions, just curious at 2 in the morning.
It's a made up card for the moment they just created some random attributes an gave it a 96 overall but that's it.
It's not a hidden card or anything It's just a placeholder for that moment.
to go one step further they used to do this a lot in moments like hit 1 HR they would give the guy you're stuck hitting with 125 power. Wish they did more of that this year since it some of these moments were annoying with warning track power
Ok gotcha, I figured this was most likely the answer. It's funny how they had a card of his they could use and just drummed one up. Maybe because he's a Dodger now but that never seems to matter. I'm sure they've done it other times in moments but this is the first time I've noticed (Pujols is my favorite player) so I'm patiently waiting for a 99 Award or Milestone. Thanks guys.
