He was a poor choice to have as a lock-in for a big collection like that. Should’ve been a legend position player like Aaron and not a current playing pitcher that will rarely be used over better pitchers.

I think the answer to this question is complex:

1. What level are you pitching him (All Star, Hall of Fame, Legend)
2. Do you use PPP or Meter?
3. Are you really good with any other pitchers?
   4.Who are you pitching against? (Not all opponents are equal)
4. are you really good with guys that throw super hard? Are you any good with guys who are breaking ball pitchers"

If you have mookie he is super easy to obtain. If it was to be Aaron or mays or Ruth the requirements would be bigger and there's not enough cards in game yet.
