Is Wainwright’s cutter broken?

Using “Pitch Trail On”, when you select his cutter sometimes it shows it breaking way to the left, and sometimes it shows it breaking straight down (basically no useful break at all). When you throw the pitch it seems to follow these trajectories… the one that breaks is much more effective than the one that doesn’t.
I think I’ve noticed this with other pitchers’ cutters and sliders too (I think DeGrom’s slider sometimes does this).
Anyone else notice this or am I crazy?

I did notice on the moments when aiming for it to be like a slider (low and away) it was very flat

Should be 94 on the cutter

Yeah. Then I get what you mean. If it plays like that online it’ll get destroyed.
