Can you not use loaded rosters to complete this anymore ? Even without the simulation glitch that was patched ?

Why the hell do I never get any progress as a pitcher. Works just fine when I am a second baseman. I was told not to simulate till the end so I went out by out til the game was over and still NOTHING! This game is really [censored] this year! Leaving lots of room for improvement this year I guess!!
