I just started DD a month ago, and it’s my first time playing it. My team is solid, but every guy I play has Trout, Chipper, Vlad Jr, and Schwarber. I have no idea how to get players unless I get them in packs or the game gives them to me. Just curious how to get these guys because I can’t get them in a pack.

For Chipper you have to complete the live series collection. Every team. For Trout you have to get lucky and pull him from a pack or buy him.

Does Trout come in a random pack and you just get lucky. I have like 300 unopened packs just from playing and not focusing on DD, but it seems like all the players are like 80s and below so I don’t even bother opening them

Pulling Trout is very rare. I have pulled him 3 times in 4 years and that is very lucky. Some people have never pulled him. And yes, you would pull him from random packs.

Ok thank you, so for Chipper you just need to get every card on every team? I’m so behind on DD, all I know how to do is play a game basically and open packs haha

Actually much cheaper and easier to collect live cards now than the start of the game

The live series collection is probably a million stubs cheaper than it was just a month or so ago. So you are kinda fortunate. Rip though all those packs and hopefully you get some good pulls to get you started!!!

Plenty of good packs in the Team affinity programs too, pulled a trout and acuna out of those packs.

If I were in your position, I would forget about Trout and Chipper for this year and focus on some programs. I would focus on the Team Affinity and the Monthly Awards programs as those would get you a really good team, free, and can be done easily being new to DD.

I would start by opening all those packs. It will take some time but It's going to be worth it. That's 300 chances to pull Trout. Also you can easily make enough to buy him from those packs of you're smart. You would need an average of 1,000 profit per pack. Its doable

    Not joking!
Bought Trout for 480k (bought stubs) to finish collection, THEN pulled him twice in a week from Pack 😖

I bought him for 300k when he went down and pulled him a few weeks later. But was able to sell him for almost the same amount.

Statistically you will get a diamond in 1 out of 50 of those packs. So you will likely get 4-8 diamonds when you do open them. It is unlikely any will be Trout but you never know. Then do what others have suggested and work on conquest maps, Monthy Award programs, and Team Affinity (not necessarily in that order). Then of course there are other things to do to gain better cards like Player programs, etc. Collect stubs and buy cards. Also, tbh, you do not need the best cards to compete in The Show. A full team of players in the 90's will not be hard for you to get. Lastly, no one needs Mike Trout. I have him, but never use him because of all the other great cards available by doing the things suggested by everyone.

Chipper is good still but do team affinity 2,3 and 4 you will be good. It takes to many stubs to complete the Chipper set.

No matter the waiting list currently and I know there are a couple common cards that are jammed up that make it feel like it will never be possible to get the LS collection completed those cards needed will make there way into the market. I doubt I'm the only person who following an update goes to the market starting at 64 flips through looking to see if any of the common cards selling for high amounts are in my inventory. Problem is later in the year simply not as many players are playing so it's a longer process. Last year Wilson Ramos was the card holding things up and after it was brought to everyone's attention by people trying to get Mickey that card became available and the problem went away. Anyone who is trying to complete the LS will love Chipper and I would encourage patients not to mention the price now compared to early season makes it worth the wait.
