Critics of the change seem to be split into two camps: people who don't necessarily object to a cap but think think the amount needs to be higher, and people who are against even having a cap.
I disagree with the first group because I think they're overexaggerating the number of people who play enough to be affected, but in the update it's specifically stated that SDS is committed to raising the cap if necessary so if I'm wrong then it won't be long before the issue is fixed.
If you object to the idea of even having a cap, then you're either an exploiter or you sympathize with people who are. In either case, you're part of the problem that the change was designed to address.
The only people it will effect are the people who only get to play here and there. Some people may try to make as much xp possible on the few nights they get to play. I can see why that group of people are having a gripe.
Overall I'm cool with it, the exploiters were annoying. I just wish there was a way to punish them and not the community as a whole.
Also idk if people are accounting for all the daily mission xp, program mission xp, player programs, showdowns, collections and conquest. That’s got to be close to half the XP required. Yes it doesn’t all drop at once but it’s great for the weekend warriors.

Not counting the 4th inning boss collection there was 250,000 in XP alone just in the collection section in inning #5. If people are mad that they can't get all the filler content after the bosses I just don't get it. These dudes have to be the same ones that max out the program with 2 weeks to spare and then whine when their XP doesn't count towards anything. I miss the program stars. It was the same thing but people weren't this upset when changes were made

I did the math, and even if you only played on weekends you could still get close to 300k a month just from playing games alone. Add all the rewards for completing content to that, and even casual players should be pretty happy with where they end up.

I don’t like the XP cap, but I’m not up in arms about it. I’m up in arms that they felt like an XP cap was more of a priority than no PCI HRs, bunt cheesing balls outside the zone with 20 bunt rating, lackadaisical fielders, freeze offs, and RTTS not tracking mission progress since release.

I mean there is. Ban the people exploiting the glitch. Anyone who puts the boss up within hours rather than days is obviously exploiting something.
