Hold?

One of the daily missions says to tally a hold with a bronze pitcher…..what’s a hold?

A hold is like a save, but before the last inning. So if it is a 3-2 ballgame, and the 8th inning pitcher has a clean inning, and then then the closer comes in and gets the save, the 8th inning pitcher is rewarded a hold.

To clarify, I believe it would still be a hold regardless of what the closer does in the 9th inning.

Anyone who pitches in a save situation and does not give up the lead, and does not finish the game, gets a hold, no matter what any pitcher behind them might do.

This is correct. I think in the past with hold missions I've gotten the notification that I achieved it after I replaced a reliever the following inning and threw one pitch with the next reliever.
