Ty Cobb

Yes, another obligatory where is X player. Best hitter on my team last year and need a similar card of him this year.
No versions of him in 21 and wondering if you guys think SDS still has his rights. -
He was my favorite player, sucks he’s not in the game this year.
-
They do not have the rights so he's not coming. Was a great bat last year
-
He was so good last year, I always laughed when people bunted with him, I thought it was a waste, such great pop and speed.

How do you know this?

Loved him last year. Usually had him leadoff but sometimes 3 hole. He is missed
-
@NCStateHokie_PSN
It's been said multiple times in the forums. I personally haven't seen anything from SDS but he would've had a low end card by now if he was in. -
If his swing animation is not an option for your RTTS ballplayer then that usually (always?) means SDS doesn’t have that player’s rights, or at least they don’t plan to use those rights.
-
Yeah, he never left my outfield after his 99 dropped, played way above his power numbers

Check the rosters on the main screen, go into player movement with orioles, L1 takes you over to the first of 3 legend teams ,also check the free agents, at beginning of year there will be some place holders there for not yet announced new legends but basically if they arent in there, they are not in the game.

Who you got as the best CAP swings?
-
I was heartbroken when I heard they lost his rights. He was my best hitter last year! I hit so many lead off dingers with that card.
I keep telling my son I’m looking for my Ty Cobb this year! So far Trae has been close. -
Another factor, IMHO, is that Cobb is still a polarizing figure.
It's pretty common knowledge that his first bio was full of lies and slander (as well as the awful movie)-- he wasn't a racist, didn't spike players, and wasn't a drunk.
But it's hard to destroy almost a century of really bad info.In the current political and social climate, you can't blame SDS if he isn't in this year.
Karen's nationwide would have had a fit. -

Karen's nationwide would have had a fit. It’s very tragic how Stump destroyed his character. If more people bothered to look up the positive things Cobb had to say about integration of baseball, he would be as celebrated as Babe Ruth is.

Definitely. Did you read "A Terrible Beauty"?
Cobb called for integration 20 years before it happened.
And he used to throw out the first pitch and hang out in the dugout at Negro League games.
But the myth of the insane, alcoholic racist is still what people think of him.
It's the biggest miscarriage of justice in baseball history.
The guy built hospitals! -

If you look on the rosters, non online, you will not see him.....SDS normally puts all the players they have rights for on these rosters well before they enter DD...that's why I laugh at the Jeter or Randy Johnson guesses every year....

I just noticed it looks like Wade Boggs is gone also?

The guy built hospitals!Agree. It’s up there with Rose’s permanent ban and the blown call in Galarraga’s perfect game
