to the guy i was just playing in Ranked Seasons. First time I've ever dashboarded during a game.
Game tied 2-2 in the bottom of the 7th i think. he has 1 on 1 out. Routine grounder to chipper at third, which he bobbles. didn't even have to move type of grounder. no double play. next guy up pulls a down and away sinker, just off the corner of the plate over the Left Center wall with AS Escobar for 3 run bomb...that's some BS.
I'm going to work on "gittin good" more, but there's no way that should happen. I'll be back later tonight of course b/c i have nothing else to do after my 18 holes.
So in one breath you’re being contrite and apologizing for some egregious toxic behavior and in the next breath you defend the same behavior that you were just apologizing for. Seems to me to be an empty apology. Btw errors happen, for example. Chipper Jones once threw a ball five feet over the first baseman’s head. It was the bottom of the ninth and two were out. To make matters even worse it was a division title clinching play. It cost the Braves the division and pushed them to the wild card. They would eventually lose that wild card game to Giants. So even all time greats make errors irl. It’s baseball and with plays like that come the momentum shifts. But I digress. Either way, if you’re going to apologize don’t add a BUT to it. Just cheapens the sentiment.
Dashboarding is toxic egregious behavior? Do you mean freezing or timer glitching or something along those lines?
Dashboarding is toxic behavior. People do it for one reason only. To deny their opponent the stat for the at bat. Not sure what timer glitching is, sounds like a cop out to me.

Getting mad and quitting is not toxic egregious behavior. The opponent still gets the win. It is a minor inconvenience when they dashboard before the ball lands and you don’t get credit for the Homerun.
Intentionally freezing the game or whatever people do to steal wins would be classified as toxic egregious behavior.

This happens way too often not to be scripted in some way. Right after an error late in the game, 2 run bombs coming!
It happens often, but “scripted” is a leap; I’d say more likely some combination of all these 100+ clutch hitters playing off things like pitcher confidence, hr/9, pitcher clutch, etc.
Would be cool to get some information on those mechanics questions that have been floating around these parts, ignored, for a few weeks now…

Intentionally walk the next batter after the error. They can't hit a 2-run bomb if there are already 2 men on base.
That’s what people call next level thinking!

Which game are you referring to? I don't ever remember chipper making an error like that. Closest one was probably the wild card game again the Cardinals. But that was in the middle innings and to 2nd base.

Two things that indicate impending homerun:
- A poopy base hit
- The indicator your pitcher is tired
"A poopy base hit"....love it!

From the title I thought you were doing a Tatis The Show commerical.

I’m usually the one that hits the bomb and my opponent disconnects. As long as I’m not losing rank points it doesn’t bother me. When I’m up by five and the game freezes, but the opponent stays in the game for twelve hours? That irritates me to no end.

No, not usually at all. I get paired up with folks that are much better than me a lot of the time and I usually just let the other guy run rule me if he/she/they/them get up by like 4-5 rather than quit. I hate it when i get quit on (doesn't happen very often but it has). It was a good game going between the 2 of us. Just got frustrated b/c i thought it was BS.
