Taking stat grinding missions a bit further. Now we only get a few dailies and monthly program stats. Those are very few however. Why not have more stat grinding missions that make you focus on utilizing golds, silvers, bronzes...and even a more fun challenge, common stat grinding.
For example, hit 30 XBH with commons or bronzes, or 30 HRs with silvers. The point of this is not just to have creative ways to create productive teams out of lesser cards, but to also make these cards relevant all season. I have a main team created, but I also have a 'grind' team with interchangable players and pitchers for dailies and similar missions.
SDS you did good with most of the FOD program and touched on this with having to get XBHs with Yankees, White Sox, Awards and Milestones...
MORE OF THIS...and less (edit NO showdowns)
This is what Moments replaced. Back in 18 and prior, most programs included stat missions with certain players or type of player cards. In 18, they went way over board with it and we had just insane amounts of stat grinds, I mean crazy insane, ie 1,000 Saves with closers, 5,000 IP with SP, 500 Hits, 250 Doubles (not XBH, you had to get just a double). Then there were some where you had to get insane stats with specific players in a single game, ie 3 hits, 2 doubles in a single game.
It turned a lot of people off, like me. We quit playing half way through the year because it was just too much of a grind and took away from playing the game how you wanted. You would play vs CPU on rookie over and over and over and over and over and over...you get the point.
So in response to that negative feedback, SDS created Moments. I personally would take these moments over those crazy stat grinds. However, I do think they’ve swung too far the other way. There’s a balance somewhere out there where they should be able to do stats instead of constant moments, just not the crazy amounts like 18.
