Chipper

I can’t seem to get it going with Chipper. I’m at the 75 ab mark, and am hitting around .111, 1 hr, 1 2b, and a few singles. I did really well with his card last year. This year he is an automatic out. I have always been a true fan of Chip, so I feel the need to use him.
Anyone having similar trouble?
Any tips? -

I have similar troubles with Chipper as well, batting .190 against RHPs on multiple HoF ranked seasons runs.. he crushes LHP so a little advice is to try to protect him vs righty’s (which is tough since you generally face way more RHP)As far as tips go you need to get him into event games on all-star and work a lot of at bats to get used to his swing timing & boost your numbers

Took me some time to get used to him but he crushes for me now fairly evenly, though a lefty coming in is always nice. Also a pretty good defender once he's P3+

Same, doing ok vs. Cpu but only he has 2 hits on the line. refuse to take him out bc it's me that can't hit with him and i hope to figure him out, but dang it's frustrating.

Any tips?Honestly you’re prob just pressing with him and it effects his hitting. He’s a great card that hits the ball hard in every zone. I don’t think there’s a magic formula for hitting well with him just take a patient approach at the plate as most pitchers will inevitably try to pitch around him.

I struggled with him last year, but I’m crushing the ball with him rn. Get yourself in hitters counts. First pitch home runs can be the worst thing sometimes. Doesn’t let you track the ball

I find I got like garbage with a lot of the 99 overall players. I can’t hit with Chipper, Ortiz, Soriano, Acuna Jr, or that new Votto card yet I can take with some gold players

Batting .502 with him with 700+ PA’s…he’s got a great swing for me have zero problems. Stick with him a bit

Same boat. I was despondent at times. Don't laugh. Ok, laugh
I reached the depths of a sub .200 average for about 35 AB, then things clicked a bit. His Diamond from last year was a beast, so I couldn't believe it. When he hits them, they stay hit, though. I have him at SS, so he may be mad at me. Sig Longoria is just too good at 3B. -
