On my second attempt I [censored] you not……. I went in 13-15. It’s now 14-15 with one out left, Rollins on first and HR derby Gallo comes up. First pitch he floats a change up and good bye. I almost died. Thank god that’s over

Rely heavily on a lefty dominated lineup throughout. By the time you get to Ryan, be sure and also have a few dudes that can lay a bunt down and steal a bag or two.
Granted I was at 15-15 when I faced him, but I made sure I bunted at least once to move runners along and even sneak in a bunt single.
From then on it was just a matter of making contact and eventually knocking one past the drawn in infield. I would highly suggest this strategy.

Did it first try. I had to rely on walks by the end. Got people to 2nd and 3rd then they IBB For bases loaded with 7 outs left. George Brett then hit a bases clearing double. I won 16-15.
That was way hard though. From fast to slow broke my ankles a couple times.

Thanks. I followed your advice and got it done. I used to only do Conquests, but now I’ve started completing these Showdowns too.

I had majority of lefties, I tried to hit the other way on the shift, it was difficult, I went in 15-9 and lost 15-9 Only had like three hits, anything hit deep just died and found leather.

I started 15-11 and only Joe Morgan had a HR, so I beat Nolan with mostly base hits and stolen bases.

Normally I beat showdowns with hit and runs and SB, Stay out of the Double play. Be patient at the plate, I do can skip the showdown and still make it to the 650, would be nice to beat it get the xp and the headliner packs I might try again.

I did it first try but went in only down 1. Was the toughest showdown of the year by far for me though

Then WTF is he like on legend??????
K I agree with this… maybe the sliders are messed up for that moment?
I’ve been hitting off DeGrom on Legend for practice and Nolan’s fastball on Rookie seemed just as fast…
-
I love showdowns. Free packs and stubs. Got way more free packs last year though.
-
I struggled more with winning the missions than Ryan… His 102 took me a minute to time, but once you do, he becomes easier to hit. I would suggest a lefty heavy lineup and maybe practice against him in a custom practice to get his speed down.
-
I went in down 6 and figured I lose but idk if it is just me but they kept giving me great speed guys in the drafts (Mondesi, Rollins 91, Robles, 96 Dominguez, and Joe Morgan 99 plus a few others) and good high power lefties (Voglebek, 84 Dunn, 79 Griffey, 94 George Brett). Just kept bunting and stealing and then hit a bomb here and there and I beat it with ten outs left. I suggest loading up on that speed and dont be scared to steal because they didnt pitch out once and the catcher has a noodle arm.
-
If you got a few fast guys and the bunt boost perks it makes the final showdown pretty easy
