I understand that it’s one of the easiest to use but I don’t understand how you CANNOT pitch a ball in the dirt. I’m completely fine with how it barely ever goes in the circle when you’re pitching in the zone but you can jam it straight down and get the smallest circle possible, that’s not even anywhere near touching the bottom of the zone and it will still put the ball perfectly at the bottom of the zone (the worst possible place to put a ball due to almost everyone below World Series being “PCI jammers”) I’m decent at pinpoint except for the whole too fast/too slow piece of doing the patterns. I have tried every single speed I can of doing it and it rarely goes above 75% accuracy. The fast ball and slider are the only pitches I can throw with enough mechanics to get it to go where I want 80% of the time. I actually do pretty well with Pulse but I can’t strike people out as much due to not being able to throw low with it. I just don’t understand why Pulse is an option of pitching if it’s so terrible..
I only use pulse, offline and online, and it works totally fine. Plenty of Ks, none of the issues you’re describing. All I can suggest is using better pitchers. BB/9 affects the size and speed of the pulsing circle, and pitch control determines how close the ball will be to your placement.
Aim for the plate. Not the common of the zone if you a dirt ball.
I only use pulse too. All 5 of my starters are under 2.8 ERA. doesn’t seem the “worst” option to use tbh.
