Market value before/after stream

I have about 450k just sitting, I usually put in a bunch of buy orders first thing in the AM and then sell everything as the day goes while at work. I bought 3 more of each boss earlier this week as I'm sure their price will go up a bit with the new inning. My question is what happens to the market with other cards after the stream? I don't want to put in a bunch orders on cards that are going to tank after the stream. I honestly don't remember what happened the last couple of innings because I was busy or on vacation and wasn't even messing with the market.
Any help or insight would be appreciated.

Just buy more bosses for this innings. wait a week then you'll make 15/20k on each of them.

Yea thats what I was leaning towards I just don't like putting all my eggs in one basket I guess. But a few more wouldn't hurt. I've got almost every legend/flash back but a few of the 100k + ones. I've also finished every collection except for the equipment ones.

Its prob not going to be the cash cow, but at least you know you'll get a solid return.

It's not a bad flip, I bought 3 Franco and 3 Murray @60k so if I can hold out and sell for 80+ it's a decent profit per card. I forgot I've got a bunch of near quick sell diamonds if their prices ever go back up.

I would use those stubs to invest in legend/flashback cards with an emphasis on milestone, sig, awards, prime series. The new legend collection will drop within the next couple of weeks, and when it does all those cards will have massive increases in price

Going back to original question, my general POV is to always be wary of the market on days of content drops. As another thread pointed out, there could very well be a flash sale which would significantly alter (directly) the prices of ASG, HRD, Headliner and any other included packs. Such a sale would also likely cause an overall market drop as those seem to correlate.
Prices are pretty high right now and market is more than fully recovered from the shock experienced around the release of TA3. That’s generally when I’d be ready for a drop since SDS knows the market will balloon whenever they release the collection…

I’d add that if you’re someone that likes to flip non-player items, I would try to unload all of those before the content release. Wouldn’t be surprised to see a Diamond Ballplayer pack or something early on in the reward path that could crater the prices of perks and equipment.

The other thing that is impossible to predict, along with the flash sale possibility, is what packs and how many, they include in the path. So, you will see those cards plummet immediately, and if those were the exact cards you invested all of your stubs, sucky feeling. However, if you leave some on the sidelines, is a good time to get into it.

Anything that comes out of an ASG/HRD/Space/Kitchen sink pack I would sell as soon as you can. Those cards have no where to go but down in price and you aren't going to be able to get 250k out of Vlad and Peralta for much longer

I haven’t locked in for Ohtani yet cause I was waiting to buy Story and Soto(all I need to finish). Do you think I should sell Pete, Lynn, and JT now?

You could probably Keep Pete because him being in the rare round his price won't drop nearly as far as the others. I'm running on the assumption that those packs being in the 5th inning program, so you should be able to get JT, Lynn, Soto, and Story for about 30-35k a piece. Those packs are coming again, it's just a matter of when

Thanks brotha. That makes a lot of sense. Going to keep Pete and sell JT and Lynn and just wait like I have been for Story and Soto and buy the 4 back

Yup - sold Peralta just now for 275K. Already have Ohtani and never locked him in. Don’t need the stubs but at the same time I’ll just buy him back later.

I would collect/unlock as many of the other 2nd Half Heroes as you can, so hopefully you'll have more than you need when the next collection comes out and you can sell some of the extra high-value cards like Smoltz.

Hold those. Both event rewards that will continue to go up. Sell after the collection drops unless you need them for the collection

I would think so, unless they make those cards available again. SDS has done a very good job of cost-controlling this year (esp with the new BR and WS reward path), so I wouldn't be surprised to see them find a way for us to get cards like Smoltz and Olerud again. I am about 99% certain those cards will be available again at some point, but it might not be until the end of the year when they bring back old event rewards. It's impossible to know for sure what they're planning, but the best guess is that a ton of cards are going to get locked in for the next collection reward so those prices could go up quite a bit.

Thanks everyone for the input, I've got Ohtani and Acuña. I had to lock in Cespedes but then I pulled Vlad from one of the AS packs. I ended buying 2 more Franco and one extra Murray and Matthewson. So I've got 9 duplicates between the three, and I've got a bunch of the Prime/Sig/Milestone/Awards that aren't locked in so im set for a collection or could sell them.
