How Do I get my Shohei Otani in my Rotation???

Hello, I went ahead and spent 28,000 stubs to get the new Shohei Otani card.I put him on my squad, but he is playing Outfield,from the way I first put him on my squad.
How can I put the same Shohei Otani into my Rotation as a Pitcher??I have tried to create a new squad, but he is still only available as a position player!!!
I don't know a lot about the technical side of things in The Show 21.
Do I have to purchase or unlock ANOTHER Shohei Otani?I'm sure someone can help me put him into my rotation one way or another. You guys have helped me out every time I have a question, and I sincerely appreciate your help.

The 99 Ohtani is a collection reward and pitcher. The HRD card is outfielder

It show on Shohei's card,SP,LF,CF,and RF as secondary positions!!!! That's what's driving' me nuts!!!
It says SP(Starting Pitcher) as one of his secondary positions on his Attributes.It is the Home Run Derby Card I think, it has the snowcap mountain scene on it. I still thought it was a great deal at 28,000 stubs. It DOES SAY SP(Starting Pitcher) as one of his secondary positions!!!!

When I tried to build a new squad, it was late, and I was tired from working all day.I did not remove him from my main squad before I tried to put him on another squad.Would that matter??I have never built another squad yet,I was too busy working and putting together the team I currently have.(Cleveland Spiders) If anyone wants to face off in a game,my playstation name is:ideal-spot7 (PS made it up, and I just never changed it)

look in collections, in legends and flashbacks. its the all star and HRD collection

its not possible with that version of the card

You also can’t pitch and play the 99 in the OF except offline. He’s strictly a pitcher.

This is how you pitch with the HRD Ohtani…pinch hit for your pitcher with him, then leave Ohtani in to pitch.

All you have to do is have him available on your bench and then pintch hit when your pitcher is up and then leave him in. I’ve won a ton of games leaving him in like that. Solid even for a 95
