Wouldn't 'guess pitch' add more strategy to the competitive game?

Maybe slow down or quicken swing and expand/shrink your contact circle, depending if you have chosen correct??

Guess pitch has always been a crutch for people who can’t recognize pitches.
Hard pass

You already have "guess pitch" at your disposal. Put the PCI where you think the next pitch is going and time it correctly. You can even guess inside or outside and try to adjust up or down. All the strategy you need. It's kind of how the game is meant to be played.
Slowing pitches down or getting power boost makes it fortnite. F-that.

Not really. I can guess the pitch type by movement if I wanted but I like the guess pitch feature. People in this game abuse the outside and cross plate pitches too much but with guess pitch you take that straight out of their comfort zone. No different than a real life player guessing pitches at the plate. It’s actually made me a better pitcher as to not fall into a one pitch or location player. It’s just a personal preference.

A real life player who guesses pitches at the plate doesn't get told while the pitch is being thrown that they were right, nor do they get a boost to their hitting attributes. They simply are looking for the right pitch in the right place, just the same as if you are to set your PCI in a spot and swing at a particular pitch speed.
And besides, when Guess Pitch is On in events, it is the absolute worst because it used to take away the ability to time your meter pitching. I don't know what it does this year, but if it's anything like last year, it opened up the possibility of meatballs without any pitching input.

this debate looks a lot like ...... DH. or NO DH ???

Next you'll be asking for them to add power ups like the Blue Shell for when your opponent starts beating you. I agree with Hikes.
Hard.
Pass.

I find this funny because the only professional baseball player I know thinks it’s actually a very important piece of the puzzle to hitting and should be in the game.
When you hit a HR in the MLB, you don’t get to guess wrong, you need to guess the pitch, the location, and put a great swing on it. If you don’t, you aren’t hitting a HR.
The problem is it tells you exactly where the pitch is going when it should just add a small amount of exit velo and hit chance. It’s realistic but not in the way it’s designed.
This game itself is far from baseball. You don’t get to know exactly what degree of launch angle you missed by during an at bat, or the amount of milliseconds behind or ahead you were….. yet if they take that away and became more realistic people would complain.
People want the easy game not the realistic one even if they pretend the opposite.

But you can already guess the pitch. If you think you've figured out the pitchers tendencies or patterns, just put the PCI where you think the next pitch is going and, like you said, "put a great swing on it". There's no need for a separate system.
If you're thinking the game better than your opponent, then you're going to put more outcome in your favor. That is if there is no comeback code
And plenty of MLBers can sit fastball and adjust to off speed.
