This is how repeatable stat missions have always worked.
I guess I have never done that many stat missions. It just incentivizes you to quit mid game then so you don't waste your time. That just seems like a odd design decision.
"Well, I hit 5 HR's so I guess I should just quit as no other hits will count"
"I have 13/15 strikeouts with all-star pitchers so I guess I will just strike out two batters in the first inning and quit so I don't waste the dozen or more other strikeouts I will get."
Sadly yes .... wish it automatically reset and continued
-
The repeatable missions can't reset mid game because you don't get the stats until you quit the game. Remember, you lose them if the servers go down or you lose connection mid-game.

Then at the end of the game. It should not be rocket science for the program to calculate
85/100 plate Appearances to start
30 plate appearances accumulated this game.
Credit 15 plate appearances and complete the mission/award points.
Reset the mission
Credit the remaining plate appearances.I still say again that any design decision that incentivizes quitting mid game is a bad design decision. It should not be up to me to count those 15 plate appearances manually so that I can quit without wasting my time.

one reason for that probably those guys you see running around whose best stats is like 45 ks and 180 runs and 210 hits in a game.
a group of them could do it then selling rewards gain enough stubs to buy up ALL cards and hold the market hostage.
which actually did happen in 17 or 18 with a br 12-0 cheat and then a bunch of cards were just not available cause they had put thousands of max buy orders in and held the market hostage. -

I don't play as nearly as much as many on the forum. I am strictly an offline player. I don't have a lot of stubs to do all of the exchanges (and refuse to buy stubs). If I am going to get some of these programs done in the next 11 days (for the fourth inning Acuna collection points) then I need to maximize my playing time. That means showdowns or vs CPU stat grinds. Showdowns are hit and miss for me so the CPU stat grinds seem like the most consistent method. I just can't afford to play 4 or 5 innings of a 9 inning game where my plate appearances, total bases or K's are not counting.
I guess that now that I know I can start planning for those cut off points and just never finish a complete game.

Yeah, that is what I will start doing.
But, nobody is going to ever convince me that a feature that incentivizes players keep track of their own stats and then quit a game early isn't an awful design.
-
This is why conquest is your friend on repeatable stat missions.
-
When I start getting close to a goal, I do the math and start the minimum number of players needed and put in other players in a different stat grind to fill the lineup and have other players on the bench to sub in once I hit the target goal.

So I decided to get a little more serious about about trying to finish some Team Affinity 3 divisions. I did the showdown this afternoon and decided to play a 9 inning game against the CPU for the stat missions.
-
I started the game with 80 some odd plate appearances with all star players and you need 100. I played a full nine innings and had like at least 30 at bats with all-star players. After the game I checked the mission screen and it shows I have 0/100 so it looks like it only counted my first 15 or so plate appearances until I hit 100 and then just threw away my other 15 plate appearances.
-
I started the game with 0/20 total bases with all stars. I had 2 HRs, 3 doubles, a triple which is 17 total bases. I had about 13 singles with all star players for a total of 30 total bases. I check the mission screen after the game and TB is sitting at 0/20 so it looks again like once I hit the goal it just disregarded about 10 total bases which would have meant I was halfway to the next mission completion.
Is this how this is supposed to work? Seems shady that repeatable missions won't cycle themselves mid game.
Yes. They don't carry over. I mentioned that a few months ago when the RTTS Sim glitch was happening and I noticed that the games where you 'scored' hundreds of runs, only counted part of the stats
-
-
If it is early in the game that i finish the stats ill quit out, but recently i got them in the 6th and played it out for love of the game.
-
its unfortunate but its how its always worked, i just play conquest so u dont lose as much as u would if u were playing a full nine innings

Oh I agree it's an awful design and they should fix it.

That’s why I do all of this in conquest. With 3 inning games you don’t have to pay attention much or quit a game
