How are you supposed to hit 1000 stars?

Did you just keep doing the 1st inning showdown over and over?? or do you only get those stars once??

Man forget 1,000 stars. I am wondering how I will hit 300 as an offline player who has had no luck at the 1st inning Showdown and doesn't really have the stubs to buy the players needed for the 1st inning and Prospects collections.
I got to 300 today, but I have way too much time on my hands right now. I only have my daughter a couple days a week and with the Corona virus situation I am working from home, so yeah I can practically love on it. If you have a full time family and full time job and didn't play online, I can see how you could struggle to get to 300.

You’re not supposed to hit 1000 unless you play a ridiculous amount. Diminishing returns anyway man. I wouldn’t worry about much after 300. Any further rewards are just gravy.
