Pinpoint question

Does the speed of which you have to move the stick change from pitcher to pitcher? Does it change from windup to stretch? Sometimes it feels like it does, but others it feels like my mind is playing tricks on me

Yes, it's completely dynamic. Factors include pitcher motion, pitch type, wind up or stretch.

I don't like that. I'm all for the general idea of pinpoint, but having to relearn timing any time I use a new pitcher just feels like work for the sake of work

Like Chuck said, it all depends on the speed of that particular pitcher’s windup or if they’re going from the stretch. Obviously it’s faster from the stretch. Best thing to do when switching from one pitcher to the next or when you let a runner on and the pitcher switches from the windup to the stretch, select your pitch and watch the movement speed of stick graphic one or two times to see how slow or fast you need to move because it mimics the exact speed you need to do it at.
