Play as WE want…

Just a rant here; but the play as you want slogan is getting on my nerves.
The time I can devote to this game is getting shorter since season 4 came out; it was tough before to keep up with everything AND play online; by the time I can do so they release another stupid program, and they ALL involve moments. Now all of a sudden I have a daily, 2 players (Williams and Cruz), MA and TN. TA3 is around the corner also. Forget about doing collections and playing RS, or even reaching the stupid boss. Now when I log on I have to slog through hours of moments to try and keep up. Leave the moments in, but please add an alternate stat mission where I can actually play baseball, not play moments AND missions; an actual either/or.
End rant

That's the choice you're making though. You can play with your team as is and just play online. I just can't stand when someone says they have to do something on a videogame. It's simply not true.
-
I play moments for daily, topps, POTM and maybe a player program - I've only done 3 player programs.
I play 1 maybe 2 online games a day. On the days where I choose topps or something similar then I have to forego playing online.
If i choose to participate in events then I don't play online.
When TA's come out, I prioritize my play around completing the majority of those first before playing online again.
Life is about choices with scarce resources. Choose the path that matters to you instead of thinking you need to do EVERYTHING

Except you need certain items to advance the Innings programs; if that weren’t the case, I would skip. Also, some items needed for collections are non sellable so I can’t sink stubs on them to save time.
Edit: I’d be more inclined to agree with you had they not nerfed the XP from straight playing

Are you complaining about having too much content?

No, I’m not. It’s the lack of options to access the content that I don’t like. TN, MA and player programs are all based on moments. So if you want to lock those players/collections for the inning, you have to pile moments on top of moments nonstop. TA at least you can skip them completely. By the time I’m done and could go back to online, my session is pretty much over, and my timing is screwed up from all those veteran sessions trying to power swing my way to a lucky homerun.
Again it’s just a personal rant, I’m not asking anybody to agree with me.

That’s a shame. I get at least two Trouts on all daily log ins

Almost all of the “interactive” content we get involves moments. Just wish there was an alternative stat grind like you mentioned. Moments should not be required if it’s play as we want.

I have Chipper, Jackie and Mariano. I have 1.6 million stubs and Griffey. I just play RS because I like the gameplay on legend and I don’t bother grinding anything because I have enough stubs for the year I’m guessing. I haven’t done a single conquest or daily moment all year…..just RS, BR and POTM. Haven’t spent a dollar.

I could never reach legend, let alone win on it, unless I get a divorce and my ex gets full time custody. I don’t want that lol. It’s easier to get stubs when you reach WS and 12-0 rewards for sure. I have to grind the sh!t if I want to improve my squad and get stubs. I’m one Trout away from completing LS and I’m exhausted from all the grind to dink and dunk every penny lol. More power to you

What I'm saying is that you're choosing to progress the inning program as opposed to playing battle royale for all your free time. They have a ton of options to get xp. You can level up archetypes and get great xp. I juggle a lot and admittedly play a lot too, but they can absolutely say play as we want and have it be true. I can choose to play nothing but challenge of the week and still really enjoy the game (my choice). Anyways, you have every right to rant but no one is putting a gun to your head forcing you to do moments.
-
Everything in DD involves moments except online play. I agree that we should have more options in DD, like more offline Missions and Collections. I do appreciate when they allow us to skip a couple of Moments during a program and get those points another way, like in the POTM programs. But that is just my opinion. One thing for sure, if you do LIKE Moments, this game is for you!
-
Not having a ton of time to play I’m finding it hard to keep up. But I like the amount of choices with content I’m only going to grind for what I want. My RS record is 1-0 I just don’t have the time or patience for 9 inning games. It’s crazy how many nasty messages I get after beating someone with a good record in events or whatever saying how scared I am to play RS. It’s crazy

I get what you’re saying, but to unlock certain cards or collection items, you have to do them. That’s what gets me with limited playing time; that and the fact that innings are limited time only, as opposed to 19 and 20. In those editions, I could play online, unlock the missions that were online related, then do moments/Conquest/Showdown later on. You could take a break and not miss too much stuff. I’m getting burned out lol

I am 100% with you. I have small amounts of time to play, but can get in several of those a day. But not enough at once to play 9 innings. I wish there was a permanent 3 inning RS league lol
-
I'm so tired of moments.
I did play 20 hours a day (At The Beginning) but now I'm back to normal ..say ..2 hours per day.
It is so frustrating because, I like collecting the rewards, but it seems like everyday I log in to try to hit a home run on rookie, get walked 15 times, spend an hour in frustration.
After this I have no desire to play anymore for that day - then I come back the next day and another new 20 moments.
Trying to remain calm ..... I would much rather play 9 innings vs CPU than to get 1 TB with my bronze level CAP.

I agree. The Innings disappearing sucks. Too much pressure to get everything done for people that have limited time to play. I just have to let it go, and not worry about getting it all done.

Yes, getting closer to the breaking point. Now I just make sure I get the daily moment in, and I have to weigh if I prefer grinding a bit more or playing FF7 once the family goes to bed. FF7 is winning most nights since last week or so, save for POTM that I need one mission to finish (97 pts)
