I’ve tried complaining , bashing my opponents , blaming the game , anything you can think of . Now I just feel like it’s sumn I’m not understanding about the game and I could really use some help..
I’m not a bad player , but I know also I’m nowhere near great . I have a record of 259-231 or sumn like that .. I made WS a handful of times on MLB 19 but 0 times since then in 20 and 21 so far .
I have a era of 3.4 which I think is pretty good , my problem is I can’t hit … at all … and idk why . I have a BA of .208 so far this year which I know is atrocious . The problem is idk why because I’m good a LOT of the time . I get frustrated and sometimes can’t pick up the ball because I’m not focused . Honestly , most games I’m getting no hit into the 4th inning or later while my opponent swings in the dirt and gets broken bat doubles . It can’t be that the game is just that bad or my luck is that bad . I’ve played so many games (over 2000 on mlb 20) I love baseball I like to think I at least know what I’m doing someone please help me with something probably obvious that I should know but I’m missing .. I’m currently sitting at 800 just want to get over the hump which I could do if I can score a few more runs by just getting a few more hits but I’m serious yo I’m surprised when I get a base hit even on perfect perfect anymore no matter what I do I’m out and I know you don’t have to be too good just to get hits like I said my opponents kill me with late doubles or very early HRs

Get a monitor if you don’t have one already

Approximately how many pitches do you see in an average nine inning game?

Eh at least 100 . If I’m patient they just throw right by me . When I’m swinging it’s just quick outs on goods

It’s a necessary evil for this game. I fought it for years and finally broke down and got one this year, it’s amazing how much a difference it makes. Especially with the high velocity sinkers and fastballs this year. Everyone is using the overpowered pitchers (ie Cabrera) and without a monitor, you are absolutely going to struggle to catch up.
You’re probably chasing the velocity and then find yourself extremely early on the offspeed is my guess if you aren’t using a monitor. Get a decent monitor and it’ll help, A LOT.
Also, not to kick you while you’re feeling down, but a +3 ERA isn’t that great this year. Once you get into 800+, games are being decided 1-0 or 2-1, if you’re giving up 3+ runs, you’re going to lose. If you aren’t using Pinpoint, spend a day mastering that on Hall of Fame/Legend difficulty in Practice. Also, based on the patch coming shortly, you’ll probably need to get even better with Pinpoint.
Those are two things I’d recommend to start. After that, make sure you have good plate discipline and take loads of pitches to get energy down, also, it’s better to take strike 3 than to swing at garbage. The confidence doesn’t boost as much on a strikeout looking.

I rarely give up a lot of runs . I can’t score any is my problem. I can only score by bunting . I never lose games because I gave up too many runs … never enough hits or runs for me … if I only give up 3 hits in a game one gone be a HR and I’ll lose 1-0 with more hits than my opponent but can’t score because my hits are so spaced out . I’m batting .208 yo I don’t wanna hear nun bout no pitching

Well, conflicting info you’re providing then. You said you have a 3.4 ERA. Only way ERA is that high is if you’re giving up 3+ Runs a game. Now you say you barely give up 1, yet are losing games. Not sure how you lose without giving up runs.
“I never lose games because I gave up too many runs” you stated, but that’s exactly how you lose games, you give up more runs than you score.
Anyway, if you insist pitching isn’t the problem, then go to first recommendation which is to buy a monitor.
