On roster but not on roster
-
I picked up a catcher as a Free Agent (he was cut by the Angels) for the Nationals. He’s on my AAA roster (I can play with him if I play a minor league game). When I look at him on my roster, it shows him playing on the Bees (Angels AAA). I can’t add him to my 40 man roster. It’s says the Angels have a full 40 man roster. Anyone else see something like this?

You would have to remove someone from the 40 man first before you can add him to it. but when you select remove from 40 man he will go on waivers and other teams could claim him.

I have an open spot on the 40 man. I don’t want to cut him because I’ll afraid I’ll lose him on waivers. Also last day before trade deadline so I can’t trade back for him.

Cut a player from 40 man roster and add the guy you want. That’s what I do.. like for instance I created bobby doerr and added him to Red Sox 40 man and removed a minor leaguer from 40 man roster
