Is there a way to go back to the pre-patches/release?

Can I uninstall the game and reinstall and then stop the patch from dl? are there any options on the PS4 System to not auto download patches or updates?

I actually thought it would be cool if patches were optional and for competitive online you only got matched with players who were running the same version as you.

The game won’t let you play online without updates
