Moments vs. Full games

Question. Why during full games when you hit a ball into the outfield and they throw it to 3rd to cut you off or home to try to get another player out the game gives you a double but during moments the same play isn’t counted as a XB?

I had an inside-the-park job in moments where it was really the result of the AI throwing relays all over the shop, so I got away with one there. I don't think the scoring is consistent in moments. I've lost doubles the way you describe but also been given xbh on similar plays. If you're happy to keep giving up outs (and maybe losing an extra AB later in the moment) then always keep trying for second base no matter what. One wonky throw and generous scoring will get you that double.
