I only ask because looking at Corey Seager's numbers (yeah on the DL for some time), but how the heck is he a diamond with his current numbers compared to a gold Martinez that has his current numbers. Diamond making makes no sense to me LOL

Martinez suffers from poor defense holding back his Diamond rating. Side note, I don’t think there’s an attribute update this week, that would be next week.

Well thanks for the info. I guess if you buy, now is the time then. But some how I know I'm gong to buy a bunch of him, and the dude's just gong to pull some sort of muscle preventing him from playing further..LOL

Plus he's usually a DH. Hard to update someone just based off hitting. But who knows with SDS.

If you get him for close to QS price it won't matter. If he gets hurt they won't downgrade him.

Corey just came off a NLCS and WS MVPs and in the month of may before he got hurt was hitting .290. Martinez is also awful on defense which is why guys like him and Nelson Cruz take a long time to go diamond

3 main aspects to the overall of a card. Batting, defense and running. Martinez fails in 2 of those 3. He has to be almost perfect in batting to be a diamond. And since he dont play OF hardly ever, and isnt gonna get faster, perfect in hitting is what it will take.

If Rafael Devers is still only an 81 ovr then JD has no chance sadly.

sadly he probably won't.... I wish they would give the Red Sox some love. they have the best record in AL and 2nd best in majors with one 85 diamond on the team. i guess they are overacheiving this year.
