Early Reveal - Wander Franco is a 4th Inning Boss

Very cool
-
I’m more ok with creating a 99 future card with someone who has that potential than trying to say Jason Bay was ever a 95.
With that said, it looks like Wander will be my future 6 spot.

This is highly disappointing.
All of the legends that are available. All of the current players who could use some awesome flashbacks for performances they actually accomplished. But no, we get a made up card for a rookie currently batting .136
This card has no basis in reality. It's a completely fictional player you just stuck name and face to.
Next question..... What was the point of the moments to earn the prospect version just last week when that card was going to be obsolete a few weeks later?

Lol this is a video game, the same one where you can create a player whose name is Mike Hawk with Barry Bonds hitting Rickey Henderson Speed and Nolan Arenado fielding. Barely halfway through the year, plenty more cards will be introduced into the game.
And the point was to have fun with a boosted card, just like they did with Tatis last year, nothing new. His call up was hyped and they did a good job of expressing that. And since it was loved so much by the community they did was any decent dev company would do, listened to their fans and gave them a card they wanted. -
I realize it is a video game and I realize the point is to have fun, probably moreso than most, but as a older player I really do prefer the legends.

Can someone type his stats please? The video isn't working for me.

Oh ok. Thanks.

Ugh. Talk about out of control recency bias.
SOOO many interesting legends that could be tapped. Hack Wilson, maybe? Dave Stewart? Hell, I'll take Kent Tekulve. Haven't bosses always been legends? Sigh...
Not a fan of this move.

No bosses haven’t always been legends.

They could have moved his current card to an evolution card to achieve the 99 and went with a legend or future HOF flashback as the boss
-
They could've made a collect 30 prospects or 15 future stars for the 99 instead. I hope it's not the same attributes as his boosted card at least.
-
So according to Ramon, they "heard" players about wanting to keep the card?
VERY selective hearing, I'll say. They're deaf to franchise.

Franchise doesn't sell stubs

I think they are doing it because, in my opinion, they totally botched the limited time 99 version release.
Making the newly earned ones unsellable while the previously earned ones remained sellable during the boost.
Not exactly making it crystal clear that if you purchased the 99 version that it would revert in one week. For example on the website it just said limited time, but that makes it seem like the card itself, not the stats, were limited time. That drove up the price.
I still expect to see a fair amount of complaining today from people who paid up for Franco not knowing that the attributes were temporary. I expect complaints to continue as people who paid lots of money for a boosted Franco just last week watch that card become obsolete this week with a better version, that will end up costing less.
I also wonder what Boss we were supposed to get that got bumped so we could have the Franco?
