Pitcher getting tired..why?
-
Is this alert that pops up just a random software thing? I thought, maybe, it had something to do with warming a guy up for too long..so I've been pretty conscious of starting their warmups with at least one out..planning on putting them in the next inning.
It still happens. Just put starting pitcher Jack Morris in, gets the first out then the alert. There appears to be rarely be any logical reason for it.
Is it maybe residue where online/offline meet? I did use Morris in the previous game in Conquest for one inning..but, correct me if I'm wrong, Conquest fatigue should never carry over from previous games..right?
Seems if the game is concerned enough to throw up an alert, there should really be something to it. But, I'm not seeing it.
-
The alert pops up when your pitchers stamina reaches the yellow. stamina is proportional to the amount of scheduled innings. So, you have 1/3rd of the pitches available to you in a 3 inning game.
Warming up a pitcher has no impact on their in game stamina. I typically warm up a couple arms before throwing the first pitch of the game. If I don't use them, great. If I need them, I didn't forget to warm them up

Ok..great explanation. Unfortunately it doesn't fit what just happened.
I played another Conquest game after the initial one I mentioned. Once again warmed Jack Morris up until he was about 3/4 ready. Then threw 2 warmup fast-balls. As soon as I put him in I got the alert. He hadn't thrown a pitch yet. If the message was intended for the pitcher that I replaced him with, Kluber, he had only pitched to 2 batters in the first inning and mowed them both down quickly.
I suppose it's a bug. Thanks for trying.

If you're brining in starters out of the bullpen they automatically take a stamina hit.

You're welcome, I'll continue to try. Starters out of the pen take a stamina hit, and, If you don't warm them all the way up, they lose energy quicker. In conquest, that means right away. Warm your dudes up completely, then bring them in.

Pitchers start conquest tired, one pitch and cpu thinks it is time to pull, unfortunately the reliever you bring in gonna be the same most likely. How conquest is set up. Still good for one inning though, sometimes two

I've completed every conquest map, and I've done the USA map 5 times. I've never had a starter get this notification in less than an inning and a half (half the game).
His issue is he's bringing starters in as RP's.

I get this notice every game after the first pitch. Maybe difficulty setting has something to do with it who knows.

hop into a game, and take a screen shot. If that's happening to you, it needs to be addressed by the developers, most people aren't having that experience.

Yessir. They have half of their usual stamina.

I just wish we could disable the alert.

Conquest has half their stamina as it is. I've had relievers pitch for 1 batter and if their stamina attributes are trash he will.be tired by 2nd batter. Hey my brother no disrespect here but you are putting too much thought and strategy into conquest. You do know that right. It's a quick 3 inning spin.

They have more important things to address that I’ve submitted. My pitcher getting tired after one pitch in conquest doesn’t bother me at all. My best reliever that hasn’t been used in three games coming in and already being yellow during rank season is a different story.
-
Yeah it’s all over the place and makes no sense; your SP is still in the green, 8 pitches in and you get the alert. I don’t bother with it because it’s not reliable, but it is annoying for sure. Same for RP, one pitch and the alert.

No, it's not just starters. I was only bringing Morris in because I needed the innings for a program. I typically only use relievers. I've seen this with relievers as well. It's not an every game sort of thing, but it happens not rarely.
I continued pitching with Morris and pitched 2 more innings w/o giving up a run. Never did get the pitcher exhausted (whatever it says) message.

Yeah, I believe I understand Conquest just fine. Just seeing messages I shouldn't and, apparently, others are reporting it. Trying to help.

How do I do that? I mean, I know how to take a screenshot but I have no idea how to show it to someone else.
I described it pretty well. An alert that says pitcher getting tired. Have no idea how to document how many innings he pitched, how warm he is, all the stuff that might be important.
Since other people are also reporting it, couldn't we just tell the developers it probably is happening? I'm not having any problem with it, like I said I pitched 2 more innings with Morris and no runs.
But it probably shouldn't be popping up. That's all, again I don't feel like I was harmed by it. Or, like it was relevant or anything.

Did some snooping. This appears to be an old, but still existing, issue. https://forums.theshow.com/topic/35910/pitchers-getting-tired?_=1624748052740

Totally agree. First year player and I am way more comfortable with my starters most of the time. So, needless to say after one pitch I get the message that my pitcher is getting tired but they still last about 30 pitches for me which gets me at least half way through the three innings if not all the way...
I have found that it barley affects their pitching until they get in the red or out of energy, so not really sure what the big deal is other than the message annoys him? I do get tired of being whistled at when you go through a conquest map in a few hours lol but there are much worse things to have to suffer through!!!

It’s broken. It’s when the pitchers confidence dips into the same place the stamina would.
