Created Stadiums - Were they Worth it After All?

Let me start by saying I know the man power / money put towards created stadium wouldn't have necessarily been reallocated to gameplay.....BUT
IF SDS delayed created stadiums another year and decided to put more effort and $ into gameplay, servers and bugs, would you take that trade? I WOULD
Full disclosure, I'm on PS4 so I don't have stadium creator but honestly I wouldn't have touched it more than once even if I had a PS5.
Ppl were creaming themselves over this thing and the first week and it was fun seeing what the YouTubers made. But who in the blue heII cares about your Jurassic Park when the gameplay only made a slight improvement from last year.
So my main point is IF you could trade in your access to stadium creator for gameplay where "user stick stills DO reign supreme", would you? My answer in 100% yes, I think SC is GOOFY and so unnecessary.
Let's get the gameplay IN BETWEEN THE FOUL LINES polished before we get into gimmicks and dinosaurs in the outfield SDS.

Created Stadiums is a cool idea but it’s kind of corny the things you can/can’t do. This is the 1st year of them so hopefully SDS will improve on it in future years.

I'm not saying it needs improvement, I'm asking if others think it was an unnecessary addition when they should've been focused on gameplay first which is more important IMO

I don't want SDS to stop working on CAS. I want them to continue to improve it and build upon it. I really like the generic CAS they have, and the community has made some really good ones. They need to give us more flexibility and customization when it comes to seats. And if they're going to keep the "You can only use preset walls online", they need to add a metric tonne of wall presets, with walls that make more sense. None of this 375-400-300 stuff where the 375 wall is 25 feet high but the 300 wall is 8.
I need to stress that the foundation is REALLY GOOD, and I hope they keep working on it, rather than just calling it a job well done.
Edit: I just thought of a tool that this could use. Something like a stretch tool that can allow you to quickly pull seats all the way down the foul lines, and wrap around corners while snapping to the walls -

Here's the thing. Create-A-Stadium has been asked for by fans for years and years and years. This isn't some idea they just thought up out of the blue.

It's year one, these things can be addressed and improved upon. Do you remember year one of Diamond Dynasty?
I remember very well. I’m just not a fan of all the fluff. I rather have unprecedented gameplay

Whats wrong with 3 ft high walls considering theres been real stadiums like this. I guess you hate Griffith with its like 400ft down the line or polo with its 260ish. Ive picked these stadiums few times, its a nice change. Ive enjoyed all the cas except if u do the dumb stuff like the lights out or cant see the ball

Yup have had that in the most recent event. It’s what I mean, it’s just another thing abused by many to gain some sort of advantage. Can’t ever count on people to just be decent human beings.
Now it’s not everybody. I’ve played around with it too. All I’m saying is I’d rather them devote resources into stable servers and great gameplay than all this fluff and junk that serves absolutely no purpose.
You wanna build a custom ballpark where dinosaurs can roam the stands and the ball flies out like there’s no gravitu, play SimCity

I doubt someone creates a blacked out stadium if they don’t havr some setting that helps them see better. I certainly don’t feel like dicking around with my TV settings or game setting to get a little glimmer of brightness and have to reset my TV all over again after my gaming sessions

Better than the BS POD casts that no one watches/listens to and they probably paid high $$ for.

I hope they eventually add more unrealistic options for creating stadiums, like ones in the desert or backyard ones, etc. I don’t want it to always look realistic. Different terrain options would be cool too, like super long grass that made the ball stop rolling, or playing on cement so it would bounce/roll like crazy. I’d be fine with these only being playable in play with friends or offline.
I just always think back to Backyard Baseball and they had some pretty funny stadiums in that

It’s was a total fail but has potential. Simple things like being able to hit into a cove or river, adding emblems and sponsors to the walls so every stadium isn’t the exact same should have been pretty obvious.
The building isn’t bad at all, more options would help but for a baseball game the stadium construction is pretty [censored] good, probably a 8/10 at least which is insane. Fifa just has the same stadium for everyone you can decorate differently, if they combined that into MLB I think it would be great.
For example if your a Tiger fan, you select the Tigers “atmosphere” through Team Affinty and it places Detriot Tiger banners, signs, and logos everywhere. Every team being slightly different but nothing extreme that would take a 20 person team. Go ahead and add the dumb pizza and cat atmospheres just give us real Teams as well. Maybe throwback designs for teams as well.
Still has a lot of potential in my opinion. And I do think in the future we have custom Ball players playing online team play in custom Ball Parks. They keep hinting the new Ball Player design is apart of something really big coming in the future, and I think it’ll be Be a Pro.

Ive noticed its about 50/50 when someone has clean stadium its pretty enjoyable to play on a all around different stadium that you have never seen before...

I believe when/if the developer's decide to more refine them, it could be an awesome and wonderful thing. Personalization would be the biggest thing. Allow team logos to be added in (I don't believe they are now). Give slight home field advantages through programmed algorithms (and I do mean slight). Track home/away numbers for statistical purposes. Allow the ability to fly your best player's pictures. Perhaps even create a "dynasty" type stadium that follows you from season to season. Then you could fly your Hall-of-fame players pix on the stadium walls. Your greatest success in RS modes.
Just many ways you could flavor this up and get players kinda priding on their own personal stadiums. I think it would add another layer of marketing draw for sure. And, it wouldn't be that difficult to do.
Obviously, it's pretty primitive right now, but great things start with a concept and diligence to advance the concept.
FIFA started allowing Stadium personalization last year I believe. Was a pretty big success. I think SDS could do it better and make it much more engrossing to the customer base.

I hate playing in those stupid created "baseball" stadiums that look like a toddler put together. Flying dinosaurs do not belong in a competitive online h2h MLBTS baseball game. Leave the community created stadiums to offline modes ONLY.
