Blue Line Ball Tracker for Fielding

Do you guys use the new ball tracker they added this year with fielding? I actually really like it but it seems like everyone I see is using the old fashioned setting with the ball landing circle.
Just wanted to see how you guys feel about it. What do you like or dislike about it?
I feel like it really separates average and elite defenders and takes a little more skill having to track the ball and the slice it has.
Full transparency: I couldn’t figure out what I was being asked to do as a fielder, so I switched back.
Wouldn’t mind if you (or someone else) explained it to me!

If you're referring to the blue line appearing in the area where the ball is gonna be then yes I use that. I do actually like it myself

I used it for the first 2 weeks or so, it's not bad at all but I enjoy the classic one better.

Basically the blue line is the area where the ball is going to land. Better fielders have a smaller line or just a dot if they have 99 Fielding.
So when the ball is hit you run towards that line but also need to watch the path of where the ball is traveling. The path the ball is traveling will narrow down where on the line you need to be to make the catch.
Hope that makes sense. It’s really important to keep an eye on where the ball is going to make sure you take the most efficient route to the ball. And you also need to be conscious of if the ball is slicing a certain direction and/or wind if you’re playing offline.

Now that you’re comfortable with it, do you find it to give an advantage over the old setting for you?

I don’t think there’s an advantage or disadvantage for either setting. I just like it because it feels a little more immersive and fresh.
I was actually making this to see if there was a disadvantage I wasn’t aware of because it doesn’t seem like many use it from what I see.
I’m not sure if it’s actually improved my routes to the ball or not because I’m paying more attention to the flight of the ball rather than just running to the circle.

I've noticed I get the crow hop animation every time with no issue using track ball. Sometimes using the old circle that animation wouldn't branch right, or you'd get the stumble animation.
-
I've noticed I haven't had any trouble locking on to flyballs with the new setting. All of the videos of egregious dropped balls standing under the ball I can remember were using the classic ball marker too. Might be anecdotal but wondering if other people who use it experienced the same

Ive been using the new one, have routes turned off.
i like it, the old one would move ,sometimes far and you werent sure where it was coming down, sometimes youd be going a little slower thinking you're close but it keeps moving and is an xbh cause you couldve run faster to catch but didnt.
this year its the spot, but not super simple, poor fielders have a big line so you have to track ball angle and such too, very cool -
