Francisco Lindor Only 56 Speed??
-
He's not the only one. Mookie Betts has 64 speed with 42 steal. I know hes not blazing but 42 doesnt seem to match his real life SB%
-
I've noticed some of these too. Not just with Lindor. They say they base these ratings off real-life analytics, but I really wonder sometimes. They sure seem made up at times.

Look up sprint speed on google and than go through the list.
-
Willie Calhoun 29 speed I don't think he that slow.
-
Nolan arenado is slower the Ortiz so clearly something is wrong
-
Fine. Lindor had a 27.5 (ft/second) average sprint speed, according to baseball savant. That is slightly above average. Not saying he's a speedster, but he's better than a 56.
-
Nolan Arenado was 25.9. Well enough below the average of 27. Maybe he should be a little better than the 29 or whatever he gets, but I'm not bothered by that. He isn't fast at all.

I mean then you are going to have to bump up a lot of guys, for example Willson Contreras that the OP mentions, because Willson has a better sprint time.

Lindor at 27.5 was slightly above major league average. Contreras was faster than Lindor last year. He was at 27.8, so those are facts. Contreras was the fifth-fastest catcher recorded last year.
-
But do you remember what they said an average rating is? I think they said 60. With that said, Lindor is slightly above average, so he should be higher than a 60.
