Sorry but this was easy, at one point i struck out 6 in a row. Took me 7.1 innings to get it done. Changups down and in and fastballs up high. CPU can't help but swing on the 3rd strike at least for me.
He doesn't have a changeup fool. And it starts in the 5th inning, assuming you stuck out 9 batters straight that puts you in the 8th. Are you trolling?
Quite right my mistake it's a slider. My bad and it was 8th inning when i finished it. So yes thats a blunder on my part.
In my diffrence i was just pitching to get it done and not to worried about what he was throwing.
-
For some reason the CPU just makes contact no matter what on missions like these. The marichal one was just as stupid.
-
I feel for you on moments. I got lucky with my first try on this one.
The Marichal one was horrid for me.
And an all star mission with your create a player pitcher against Yankees?
8 Xb with Lou Gehrig and 6 xb with Johnny Damon?
These daily’s should be easier than others. Can’t imagine what these missions will be like come September.

I was confused too. 7.1 is the 8th inning with one out.

Their outer PCI is massive because it is veteran. It is so annoying. Can't strike out Rendon. I alternate up and in FB and low and in/away sliders. Back to back same pitches I see them fouling the ball so many times.
-
I didn’t get it first try....but fastballs up and in and the odd slider now and then was what got me through it

So i was right about the innings it took, I was just wrong about his pitch arsenal. Like i said i was just throwing whatever to get this done. My apologies again though.

I have NEVER thrown the controller in anger, but I'm close.
Guidry is just awful.
Brutal control.
It doesn't help that Don Sutton took a down and away slider and PULLED IT to left for a knock! Haha!
This might be the worst Diamond Card I've ever used.
Checking Guidry's career stats (though I remember him), he had a handful of good years. For the Yankees, if you're going to give us a pretty good pitcher, hows about Dave Righetti? Or David Cone? David Wells?
His CY year was amazing. Led the league in Wins (25), ERA (1.74), WHIP (0.946) and WAR (9.6). Only 12 Ks behind Nolan Ryan or he couldve had the pitching triple crown.
Yep, I know he had some great years.
He just never seemed that special to me.
I probably didn't see him in his prime.
God, I'm old. -
My cat even left the room he knew what was up.

This one was a bit annoying. That said my problem wasn’t the task but the timing. If it had started in the 1st it would have been fine. I finished on my 2nd try w/ 1/3 of an inning left. Even when you pitch well the cpu is still going to hit pop it’s/groundouts sometime and there just wasn’t much room for non-strikeouts.

No i did get that wrong, it's a slider. Haha it was a mistake.

I'm a terrible player (well below .500 online record) and when I attempted this I was in a daze from lack of sleep, but I still nailed it on the first try. I understand complaining about moments sometimes because they've thrown a few really tricky ones at us, but come on guys. They can only dumb these down so much. lol
-
That’s one thing I am glad for about moments & that’s seeing just how terrible certain players are before buying them. Guidry is absolute cheeks. What an AWFUL pitcher.
-
Fastball, fastball, slider. EZPZ

These comments... You never had any problem with a moment? I think the cpu plays very differently in every moment you load, so sometimes it's easy as f... and next time it could be pain in the a..
I also remember one daily moment on rookie, where you needed 2 k's against Red Sox and I needed about 5 tries to do it -
It seems to me that people complain about pitching moments because they need a pattern to abuse. I just pitch. You can see the PCI location of the CPU swing, so I use that to help determine location of the next pitch. If you throw up and in, and the CPU is swinging down in the zone, I will go back to the upper part of the zone. Same goes for swing timing. If they are late, pump it by them again. If they are early, back with offspeed. Once they start getting closer to location, I will switch to another quadrant, and same with pitch speeds. It's just working hitters and pitching.

Well good for you. For me they hit everything out the zone into play for an out. Normally that would be a foul or a miss, but in this fricking moment it’s an in play out. Screw this moment.

Sorry i didn't mean to come off as rude, l can of course understand how this moment frustrated people because the CPU cab seem impossible to strike out and even when your doing great it only takes a Mike Trout home run to ruin it.
It's just for one point and you can probably skip it and still be ok.
I almost gave up on the Johnny Damon moment back at the begining of the month. Couldn't hit anything for a home run.
These daily missions should be fun not making people destroy their controlers. Thats what moments extreme is for.

...He for sure sucks but I did it real quick first try before work today. Just use his fast ball on the corners and finish with a curve or slider down and in. Finished it with an inning and a third to spare.
