Yesterday I played a game a lost 9-5 and wow I don't play regularly and only have been around the 790 in past years. But yesterday wow i faced this guy fouled off everything ( good for him ) but he hit 3 bombs off me with pitches that almost hit the batter and they went far. Not realistic but it is a game but dam i got salty because it didn't make sense. This year contact swing is a glitch.

What has been grinding my gears is the fast ball that is 6-10 inches high and gets drove for a homerun. It makes it impossible to paint the corners when guys will hit anything with in 6 inches of the strike zone. There should be more of a penalty for swinging at those pitches

I don't use contact often, but if someone is using contact swing constantly I just dirty them back and use contact, bunt, steal, take my sweet time until they get mad and quit.

I use it from time to time but feel bad because it is OP…I just hit a 430 ft 109 mph hr with trout on a contact swing…should not happen.

Contact swing increases PCI size at, theoretically, the expense of power. Power swing does the opposite. Problem is everyone has guys on their team with insane power stats so even reducing their power by some percentage still leaves them with enough to hit a home run.

Trout has 115 power against righties, even if contact swing reduces power by 25% (I have no idea how much it actually reduces power) Trout still has 86 power which is still high enough to hit one out. Even if the reduction is 33% Trout still has 75 power.

I am not sure there is an quick and easy fix for it when guys have that kind of power. At least not without completely killing every card with less than 100 power.

I don't think that's the issue. I think competitive mode is.
Play on simulation mode against the CPU and see if you can reproduce.

Well, yeah, if it is behaving differently between different game modes then it is definitely a big problem. I only play offline and rarely contact swing unless I am down 0-2. I have hit a HR with a contact swing before but I can't remember who.

Make a CAP to use in franchise mode.
    Set franchise to simulation mode.
Use your maxed out CAP and see if contact swing is OP (compared to other regular players on team).

That's the only way I can think of to test this...
