CAN WE STOP MAKING MOMENTS BLACK AND WHITE?
-
i think its pretty cool tbh. its just a moment, not like your having to play a whole game with it
-
But isn't that what they saw back then. I don't think human eyes saw color in those days. We developed that in the 70s

Thanks to black and white TV, I grew up thinking that the Yankees team colors were black and white. I was an adult before I realized it was Navy.
A lot of people still think it's black
-
I am getting tired of it too. I remember MVP did the b/w like an old film which sort of made it more pleasing on the eyes. But this just looks bad on the eyes especially when doing the Marichal moments.

I don't have an issue with the "classic" or "Legend" players having black and white moments. I can understand the issue if people have a hard time seeing them though.

I have a real hard time with it. I can only do an inning before I need a break. I use meter pitching and the bar gets lost when it gets to the top of the meter when the game is in black and white.

I'm not sure about all the other contrarians here that are somehow defending a cheap filter, but I don't think I need to remind everybody that we are playing AS the legends. Unless you all think that the players were controlled by spectators at home, then there's no reason to inexplicably think that the legends saw the world in black and white. What WOULD be cool is if the REPLAYS were in black and white, since it'd still be neat to have that little throwback to 'black and white sports'.
Contrary to popular belief, the first colour broadcast in 1954 did NOT magically colour the entire world.
But go ahead, please keep mixing up 'taking the high road' and 'willfully ignorant of poor game design', by telling us about how great a white ball being thrown against grey backdrops is, and how great dark grey pitching lines mesh well with slightly lighter grey meters.
The fact remains that it doesn't make sense from a gameplay or realism standpoint.

Great idea! It's very distracting during gameplay.

There should be a choice for if you want it black and white or not. Maybe like a setting you can turn on or off. I personally would have it off

Hay, as a kid, with color, I always thought the Chicago Bears wore black. Still to this day I can barely tell it is a shade of blue. Definitely darker than Navy. Looks more like Peacoat or Space Cadet to me.

I hate those type of moments, real strain on the eyes with the white uniform and the white ball plus the stadium lights
-
Sepia would even be better if they were looking to do something like this. But more honestly - this is super uninclusive - there are people who will struggle simply because not everyone's eyes are the same. And the greyscale is super washed out. At minimum, blacks need to be blacks and whites need to be whites. Either way, it needs to be an option not a requirement. The people in charge of game accessibility should be really doing more, not less, in areas like this. Another reason why I say their "BLM" movement last summer was performative. Be in for everything inclusive, or nothing at all, but don't just sell titles based on a movement.

Agree i can't see [censored] with pinpoint pitching haha

This is super annoying. We live in the 21st century not the 1930's. I know you are recreating moments but. Stop already.
