Hitting on TV vs Monitor
-
I play on a 65" LG C7 monitor and a PS5. I can recognize pitches and hit just fine against the CPU on All-Star and HOF. But I'm terrible at recognizing fastball vs. off-speed against human players, and I struggle to get any hits at all. Since I can recognize pitches just fine against the CPU, can I rule out any potential input lag issues?

I have the same problem. I just bought a ps5 and a cat 6 cable so I'm hoping running on 4k with a hardwire will help me hit better. If not I'm buying a monitor. If that doesn't help I will keep trying. I want to make 900
And I too have no problem besting the cpu on hall of fame and legend but cant hit [censored] online on allstar. I think its on allstar but they [censored] around with the sliders to make the pitch speeds faster/break more

Do you guys have your TV set to game mode? It helps with the frame rates but not by much. The best results come from monitors. A real nice one to start out with is a BenQ Monitor with 1 ms response time. But if you really want to max out the perks, you are better off getting a monitor with HDR ability and accepts a 2.1 HDMI.

Have they released any monitors that support 2.1?

Yeah I got it on game mode. I'll look into monitors eventually but I would have to run an ethernet cable through my entire house (from my bedroom router all the way to my office) because a desk and monitor aren't going in the bedroom, not if I ever expect my wife to do anything in there again lol

Monitor will make you better. Game still blah online and some games you’ll be amazed how easy it is and some games you’ll be calling an optometrist for an appointment.

They have but like the Xbox and PS5...they are really hard to get, but are expensive AF

Yeah, the shorter the ethernet cord, the better. But if it's one of those centralized modems that feed the house...just move it your office LOL! The wife shoudn't have a problem (only saying because I am assuming you have a modem with wifi).

I'm the wrong guy to ask LOL. I'm stuck here with an awful $250 ASUS 1ms monitor that has zero audio output jacks and terrible "treble" speakers.

Also, I'm still on a PS4
